daily driver goes off road tires/suspension

I want to keep my vehicle as a daily driver (50 mi/day), but I want to add some offroading prowess.
I want to upsize to 265/75 r16 tires. The posts seem to indicate that this size will fit with no lift (I do not want to lift). What experience did others have as far as ride quality going to the load range C or D from passenger tire?

My Runner came with a set of Maxxis Bravo HTs (265/75) in the C load range and I upgraded to a set of Nittos in the D load range and on street the ride was a tad more stiff but not a drastic change. I love my Nittos for daily driving and they have good manners in the snow and are factory siped.
