The mods and I do NOT make ANY penny from this forum...none, nada, zipo. I really appreciate the moderators because they do all this as a favor for me and love of the forum. I don't think that i can ask for any better bunch of guys.

Gatorgreg does get a few pennies here and there from the ads, but trust me, this ain't his day job by any shot of the imagination.

Didn't mean to intrude into your business with that question, I was trying to be sarcastic.

Any real thought on how we can pitch in to update? A donation system? Tell us how much it is, set up a fundraiser/pledge system and keep a running target for donations. When we hit the target we can feel accomplished as a community and the reward is the upgrade.

Well I'm back from my vacation and enjoyed reading through this thread. It's getting harder each year to come up with ideas for April Fools This thread actually created some good constructive criticism and Thai and myself and the moderators will take it all under advisement. Thanks to everyone for your ideas to make the forum better.

i like the idea of being charged say a dollar to register and then maybe a 10$ DONATION. the dollar to register will kill all the spammers and the 10 dollar donation from say 10 percent of the population say 1600 will MORE than cover the costs of this board for MANY YEARS to come

i know that i would be willing to make a donation even though i use some of the other boards more as this is mostly a 4th gen site and i dont mod the 07 yet

I kind of had a feeling this was an april fools joke from the start.
I mean c'mon, the number 1 and 2 guys are a doctor and a lawyer. Im sure hosting the top 4Runner forum on the internet is pocket change to them.

The thread was definitely a good read though.
t4r.org has gottem me through many slow days at work, and Im sure im not the only one.
