Daytonaviolet's build thread

Now I have a drivers side ohh shit bar :-). I need to make the plastic hole on the installed bracket bigger. I see a slight bulge.

What??? I didn't know that was a thing. My Tacoma has on and always thought the 4runner should too. It should be standard!

Right ! My 4th gen has it and was shocked 5th gen lost it.

There’s a guy on the forum makes/sells the brackets/bolts. Everything thing else is Oem.

The last picture in the driveway looks like you pulled the limited badge.

Your build is exactly what I wanted. The limited innards with the SR5/TRD outside.

I considered the Lexus GX but the front end is super dysfunctional.

Now if you can figure out how to get the e-locker...

Yes I think I pulled the limited badge off the day I installed the roof rack. the chrome was bothering me.

Awesome! I remember seeing someone fabricating brackets for this mod but I’ll dig around to find it, can you list your OEM parts needed for this mod?

If you wanted to, you could get an Tundra OEM black plastic overlay with double sided tape to go over the chrome. That is what I did when I was getting the OEM black out kit..

Spent a few hours Saturday afternoon and few hours today. I was able to complete the following

1. Fender liners
2. Rocker panels
3. Hood scope insert
4, front bumper
5. Pro grille

Unfortunate while taking off the front fender flares (required when removing fender liners) I broke several clips on the fender flare. I can’t believe how weak these were. I ended up using epoxy to repair the clips. I learned that the clips used to hold in the fender liners are not reusable.

It's tough for me to tell (or maybe I'm just slow) but did you have to mod the front and rear fender flares so the lower profile rocker panel trim matched up? Or do the rocker panel trim parts you provided in an earlier thread match up well to the fender flares?

It’s hard to tell in the pics, but my Oem (limited) rear door flares does not line up with the rocker panels. The fronts do. This is because the limited has a different angle rear door rocker vs non-limited.

I have the correct rear door rockers, but I forgot to have the shop paint it when I got everything else painted :-(

I plan to to do it some day :-)

There are two options, black or body color. I believe the black has a texture to it. Body color is smooth and paintable.

Rear door flare:
75741-35902 right body color
75742-35902 left body color

Clips:
75395-35070 (orange)
75396-35020 (blue)
