Dealer Lift Install

I have an Icon Stage 2 lift i took off my FJ that I want to put on my 4runner. I wanted to find a dealer in Denver that would install the lift so I could maintain my warranty on CV Axles etc. but one dealer said they dont install lifts, one said even if we install the lift we wont cover CV's etc. I installed it on the FJ myself so i can do it again but if anyone has a suggestion for a dealer in Denver that will do it and keep all the warranty. Can you let me know.

Good luck finding a dealer that will honor your warranty if something gets screwed up b/c of the lift...even if they install it. Meaning if they install it and then 4000 miles later you have a ball joint go out b/c the angle was too steep, they wont cover it. Being that it is not a Toyota/TRD part, it wont be warrantied.

My Toyota dealer in Lake Havasu installs lifts and honors all warranties afterwards. They lift many 4runners, Tacoma's and Tundra's when they are new.

That's awesome then. It's rare to find that. I had dealers tell me around here that even their "dealer" cars that they have modified themselves, they wont honor any warranties on the lifts they install because it's not a factory part. Then again, most dealerships around here suck the sack that holds balls.

This is what one of the dealers told me too. I was shocked that they wouldn't even warranty the new vehicles they had lifted prior to sale

The warranty does not get voided.........but any aftermarket parts installed on your vehicle gives the dealer an excuse to blame it on aftermarket parts when you're trying to get something covered under warranty. I would save yourself some $ and just install it yourself knowing the consequences ahead.

When my inner fenders were cracking on my FJ and I took it to the dealer to get fixed (while other FJ's were getting fixed under warranty for the same reason across the country) they said I had a lot of aftermarket parts and there was a lot of dirt. So they got a Toyota factory rep to come take a look and told me to leave it with them for a day. Expecting to get the fix approved when I picked it up I felt they just spent the day taking pictures and documenting all the aftermarket stuff to build a case against how I have "abused" the vehicle.
They actually told me it was caused by abuse when hundreds of other FJ's had the same problem.

Here is an example of the type lift the dealer does in Lake Havasu.
2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road V6 - Lake Havasu City, AZ No lifted 4runners at the time but they do have a 2015 trail in stock. 2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail Premium - Lake Havasu City, AZ This is a small town dealer and they only get several trails a year here.

That is ridiculous. Id be pissed that fender cracking happened on all the early FJ's
