I am buying the SR5. woow! I want a lift and tires that fit the lift. A 3 inch revtech was suggested by the dealer along with 305-65-17 for tire set up.

Revtek lifts are garbage. Some Bilstien 5100s are in a similar price range and would be a lot better choice. Radflo, Icon, King, Fox coilovers would be even better but a lot more expensive.
I would run 285/70R17s instead of 305s. Those are really wide and a lot heavier than 285s.

thank you for the feedback. what makes revtek garbage? I thought the 305 sounded crazy.
I'm undesided about the rims but leaning toward stock. If not then I like the black look.
I'm a highway driver but have been known to tromp on my farm from time to time.

With the stock rims and no wheel spacers, with 285/70R17, wouldn't the tires rub the Upper Control Arm? The 305/65R17's I'm pretty sure would rub them. Harper7 has 305's I believe, but he has aftermarket upper arms, wheels and etc. If I was gonna go to a bigger tire, I would probably look into getting some 17x8' wheels with a 4.5" backspacing.
Revtek kits are basically the cheapest form of lifting a vehicle, you get no added benefit except for having more clearance to run larger tires. The ride doesn't improve at all, if anything the ride will be a tad bit more stiff. The stock springs will eventually start sagging as well, so some day, you might lose some of that lift. Anyone that goes offroad will usually avoid these spacer kits, at the very least they will opt for the Bilstein 5100 Adjustable shocks. Your able to lift it and get a heavier duty shock for a reasonable price. In the rear just get some coils from Toytec, as the revtek kit probably comes with spacers for the rear as well which people that go offroading tend to avoid.

^^^^^^^^^^^^Thanks for breaking it down. I wouldn't say to never run a 305 tire but I wouldnt unless I planned on using it for off roading. Its too much of a compromise unless you need it.
