Dew Wipe

Hey guys,
Anyone had issues with their dew wipe tearing on their doors? My front drivers side dew wipe is half torn right along the glass. I searched but nothing came up.

I had to google search what a dew wipe was...

No issues here, could it be sun damage?

Rubber is still nice and soft. I don't think its sun damage.

Are you laying your arm on it a lot with the window down, since it's only the driver side?

I go thru two or 3 a year on my tundra. They dry rot quick.

I may have waited too late to get any views of my observation/question.

When it rains, if I have droplets on my door glass and open, then close, the window - nothing contacts the exterior window glass to clear it. Is this as intended?

It's a seal to prevent water from going down inside the door.
If it's not contacting the glass when it's up that's a problem.
If it doesn't contact the glass as it goes down it's a minor problem.
