A.Wilson013, here's the update.
This was three rolls of Peel 'N Seal. Chuckles89, I don't see how you only used 3.5 rolls. I'm looking at AT LEAST 4.5 for the floor, probably 8-9 for the whole thing. Maybe I went a little overkill?
But, as Hannibal Smith says:
"Overkill is underrated", right?
Still better than cheaper than Dynamat or anything else. Lol.
This, coupled with the above pics.
Did 99.999% of the passenger compartment. Some strips that are open, but that shouldn't matter too much. .25" gap, in one place, maybe two.
Didn't do the trunk yet. Have some stuff I need to do back there. Patch some holes (the factory ones that I don't have the plugs for), and cut out where I use to have the roll bar mounted, patch it, and drill new holes and weld bolts and reinforcement plates for the new spot.
Another thing I needed to take care of, I completely forgot about.
The back "fender" of the truck is two pieces that are spot welded and bent. When I trimmed the fenders for the 37s, I lost that joint. Had to fix it before I added the Peel 'N Seal to that area. Didn't want that shit catching fire.
I forgot how much I HATE upside down welding.
Didn't get the passenger side done today, so those will be the before pics.
That gap is what I had to fix.
And this is the drivers side. I plan on welding 3/16" rod around the wheel well for a cleaner look.
Sorry for the not so decent pics. It got dark.
Now I'm debating on getting cracking on the FX-R, or showering and vegging for a little bit.
