dome lights

When I open the drivers door, are the map lights supposed to come on? The second row lights come on along with the cargo area lights. But, the lights over the front seats don't come on..Just got it so I am not sure. Also, I see the outside lights will stay on when I shut the truck off and lock the doors. Is there a way for the headlights to pop on at night when I unlock the truck since they are on auto. I have the navigation so I was wondering if there was an option in there.

The map lights do not come on when you open the doors. I know its kinda dumb. I wish they did too. As far as the headlight coming on when you unlock the door, I'm not sure they can change that setting at the dealership but they are not set to come on even when you have your lights on auto. I have the NAV in mine too and there are no settings for that in the menu's.

Ah, forgot about that MOD. A bit to much just for a little more light. I am just going to go with LED's on the inside to get it a bit brighter. Thanks for the reminder though.

I would like to do the LED mod, but my worry is I am going to blind my 15 month old when the lights go on right above him, along with the new baby due in april..

Before I did the LED and maplight mod, I thought I was going blind and couldnt see. I couldn't even see my dog sleeping in the back before I did the LED's. You could just do the maplight mod for the front with LED's and leave the center one. Someday I want to put LED strips under the running boards for more visibility at night.
