DRL Disable but keep Auto Headlights

I actually found a different company that I am going to try for the headlight mods for my Lexus. They are called aacstyle.com and are a lot cheaper and will sell you the kit so you can do it yourself if you want.

Pin #2 works great on '16 Limited

Installed DRL/Fog LED upgrade kit from Toyota and noticed that both new and old DRLs were working. Pin #2 solved that :wink2:

Could you post a picture of your Limited with these new fog's installed? I've been really thinking about going this route but not quite sure how to install until I've read this thread. Also, did you install the switch that came with these lights? Is there a way to utilize the stock switch on the stalk to run the fogs as DRL's or no? Sort of confused how these would work in a limited

Yes, I used the switch that came with the kit, looks good and easy to install. Did not want to deal with factory switch setup. I am sure there is a way but would require a lot of digging. On a limited you would use your factory fogs switch for fogs and new switch for DRLs only.

It'll work just fine on the SR5. Instead of using needle-nose pliers as some suggest, just use a flat head screwdriver to push the prong up, and then "stab" it in the middle to fold it into an "L" and press the 90 degree fold hard into the corner, to get it solidly out of the way and allow the other connections to still be made.

I put a piece of electric tape over the "DRL" lettering on the headlight stalk, too.

DRL Disabled on Non "Auto" Headlights System on my SR5 Premium.
So disabling them is the same as Auto Headlight systems, by bending pin #2 out of the way without any adverse issues!
I used a pair of needle nosed pliers to bend the pin down and firmly to the side as pictured.

DRL's don't come on.
Parking lights function as normal.
Low Beams and fogs function as normal.
High Beams function as normal.
Tail lights, stop lights and turn signals function as normal.

Thanks, pulled back the pin nicely with a flat head.....no more DRL ..noow how do I get the fog lights to come on when just the running lights are on ?

DRLs

No hate... just when you have DRLs that came with LED fogs kit and factory High Beam DRL running at the same time - looks kinda ugly. Still have my DRLs
