Dusty interior

4Surfin

God I love you man. I been crackin' up all night- even at the posts in that "other thread" that aren't supposed to be funny. But f yeah they are!

Thanks dude!:usa2:

I promise I searched. I have a 2015 SR5P, I always drive with the windows up and air on recirculate. I Vacuum it out twice a week and there is always a layer of dusty looking shit on the dash and especially the sides of center console.....any idea what is causing this.

I have had dust build up in every vehicle I have owned. I just take a swiffer cloth and run it over everything now and then.

Haha...

Well I can tell you that a lot of dust gets through the cabin filter. When offroading, you can see it collecting on the air vents and where the air vents blow. Maybe they make a hepa filter for the cabin?

Other than when I open the windows when offroading to make it more outdoorsy, I think that's where most of it comes from.

But yeah after a trip I vacuum with a big brush, then with detail brushes in the cracks and hard to get areas, then a complete damp microfiber wipe down and it's good as new!

I'm still finding chunks of salt in my truck, despite bringing it over to Alabama in March...

Then again I haven't vacuumed it... ever.

Maybe it could be from the vent looking things in the rear behind the wheel well? I remember finding all sorts of sand/dust back there when I was living in Yuma. :painkiller:

Seriously, is this a real question?

Why is there dust in your house? Why is there dust outside? Why is there dust everywhere?

Just keep a swiffer in there. It's good for traffic jams and red lights. Kind of embarrassing when it falls out when you open your door on the trail though. lol.

It's inescapable. Keep in mind that a portion of that dust is dead skin that you naturally shed.

Edit: Are any of you using any product when you detail/clean the interior? Dust will stick more easily to product like Armor All. The best thing you can do for regular cleaning is a slightly damp microfiber cloth.

What he said, plus the clothes we wear and the shoes, etc.. How much dust are we talking here? maybe there's a gap in your door seals/window seal messed up???? just my $.02...

Hell yes it's a real question. This is my 17 automobile including 2 other 4 runners and I've NEVER had shit build up like this one does. It's not the end of the world, just wondering if anyone else had this issue and it seems the answer is yes.

There was a top gear video comparo a while back of a
Lexus lx570, a range rover and another suv. Turns
Out that one of the flaws about the lexus was that it
Got full of dust when offroad compared to the others. I
Tried looking for the video on youtube w no luck.

keep a 'swiffer' sheet in your truck. Bored at a red light, wipe it down. Does not leave a residue and grabs all the dust in one wipe. Keep one in all my cars, maybe i'm OCD

I had the exact same issue on my '14 TE and now on my '15 TRD... I agree, never seen anything like it and it's interesting that it happened in both, one with cloth seating and one with pleather...
