I went ahead and did the HCF Delete on my 2003 SR5. Are there any other posts in this thread anyone recommends that are just as easy?

Did you just Zip Tie the roof basket to your roof rack? Why not just use the hardware that came with the basket?
I did on the front, it was a combination of my titanium leg giving me a pain headache and the absolute god-awful Chinese crap that came with it wouldn’t thread for the life of itself so zip zip zip zip zip zip zip done.
It’s not my sports car so I’m not giving a big hoot, even if it looks a little trashy

Hey... anybody know a great option for getting three lap AND shoulder seat belts for back seats in a 3rd Gen 4Runner for kids? or even if can be replaced with a newer generation that does have them. I currently have 2 lap and shoulder seat belts and one lap only belt in the center. Thanks!

Did the HCF removal on my 2007 SR5. Wasn't sure it would be worth it since I did this mod years ago on an ex's 2005 V8 and honestly didn't really notice any difference. It made a very noticeable difference on my V6! Nothing huge but for sure initial acceleration from a stop is much quicker than before. Installed a K&N drop-in while I was in there. Another mode in process: saving up for an OME 3" suspension lift! Soon....

I'd honestly bet the K&N is what made the difference. I didn't notice any change when I removed the HCF on my V6
I def agree! But the funny part is, I dropped one into the V8 I mentioned in my post and didn't really notice a difference at all. Kinda weird. Anyway, glad it worked for me! Crazy how restrictive those filters are.

Wasn't difficult, pretty straight forward. Like many other satoshi grilles, you need to cut the inside out. Just connect the lights to the marker light wires. Love the look. Have a bit more details on my build thread

Unistrut/Superstrut roof rack. Two bars will touch the roof with my weight (about 225) on either bar, but do not touch with my weight between the two. The full size strut wouldn't do that, but I'm good with it the way it is.
I know this is a little old, but do you have pics of how you mounted your rack to the roof? Did you fabricate feet for it?

Light Duty Molle Style Storage Panel/Interior Utility Rack - Under $10
I have a decent amount of gear always sliding around the cargo area, but I lacked organized, easily accessible space for the stuff I use frequently.
I made this little rack to help from a modular metal wire shelf set I picked up at a thrift store and some hole punched flat steel.
The original coat hook in the cargo area had an area around the bolt that protruded into the ceiling. I added a spacer of rubber so it would fit flat against the new steel rack mount.
I painted the whole thing black, and working with longer bolts in stock locations, installed it solidly on the driver side in the cargo area. It makes a great mount for an inverter that's easy to use from the back of the vehicle.
I realize it doesn't compare to the precisionmade, heavy duty MOLLE panels out there. I wouldn't recommend hanging your Hi-Lift jack or Yeti cooler from it. But it works great for small day-to-day use stuff that may otherwise get lost in the bottom of a bag or sliding around the back. And it only cost me $10, not $200.
Here you can see it holding flashlights, multi-tools, binoculars, bungie cords, 120v AC inverter and some bike helmets. There's a solar USB charger in the window, behind the rack, providing power all day. There's a place to put my stereo remote, too. It gets a lot of use when mountain biking, camping, tailgating, trail building, etc.
While you're saving up for that nice, tactical, space saving storage system, don't forget to look around the garage for something that may be able to get you most of the way there in the meantime.

Did this on my '03 V6 last weekend. Slightly different procedure but able to follow these instructions nonetheless. Easy to do! Didn't notice much difference but was still fun playing around in there.
