I don't care what anyone says about after market intakes on the 4.0l motor. The stock one sucks! The only thing I like about the stock one is where it pulls in air from. After I took my OEM one off I couldn't believe the crazy path that air takes inside there. A big bulky box is what I call it.
So i'd have to say a "dry filter" intake is a worthy mod. Kinda costly but its still really easy to do. It hardly gives you power you can feel at low end speeds but the howl is awesome! I think it builds off max peek power anyhow but it hasn't really been proven so idk for sure.

Nice! It looks like we have the same 05 4.0l motor so I wonder.... have you noticed how picky these engines are? Some days mine moves like a new car and others its like a normal suv. The only things I know for sure make it better are 91 oct with seafoam and a fresh oil change. Just curious If your motor has crazy ups and downs days too.

Mine doesn't like cold weather when it's cold. It doesn't like moving sometimes. I think my transmission is messed up.
It definitely has it's quirks

haha, I didn't even see that. No, it doesn't add HP, just reduces the chance of getting water in your rear diff when it's submerged. Water in the rear diff = no beuno

Upgrading reverse lights. I had seen a couple of people talking about switching to an LED bulb for the reverse and didn't really think it would make a big difference.....I was very wrong. I contacted Whitebeauty and he hooked me up with some 9.5w led's. They have a direct beam shooting directly back, as well as led's on the sides to throw light into the reflectors. I could not be happier with the results. If you need some more light in reverse, contact Whitebeauty. Thanks man!

Ever since i removed my lighted running boards and replaced them with the step tubes, I (as well as my wife and kids) have missed having lights on the steps. I was glad to find these Eagle Eye LED lights on ebay, for around $4 a pair shipped. These are 3w lights, which doesn't sound like much but they put out plenty of light. I originally wanted to mount one in the rocker strip, under the doors. I would have liked to have one above each step pad but that panel is right up against the metal of the body. I decided to make some small brackets and mount them to the insides of the step tube mounts. They are far enough up under the body, where you can't see them and just at the right height to cast light on the step pads. I had clipped the wires from my running boards, so all i had to do was tie them into those. They come on when i unlock and open the doors. I am very happy with these as well.
