Eibach Pro-truck lift

Anyone else have issues with the rear shocks bottoming out? I hit my bump stops every time I go over a drainage ditch where two streets cross in my neighborhood.

Hang in there! We're hustling on all the things, but I can tell you I've spoken to a couple people who made the switch to the Eibach from other brands and have been very happy they've done so.
Mark, do you know if the HD rear setup will be ready for the big black friday sales that i'm sure your going to have?

Just got my 2016 T4R premium w/ third row aligned and my alignment guy got it dialed without UCAs. Even said I had more room to push it further. I have a level/ slight rake to my install and that’s with the third row weight. Loving the improved handling so far. Only gripe I do have is the driver side front and rear is about 1/2” lower. Probably would’ve added a 1/4” spacer to the front driver side when I installed it.

you just did a stock kit? What's up with some people getting a positive rake and some getting negative?

Yea I don't get it. I was hoping I wasn't going to get it, but I got it. I saw everyone with theirs and it looked even across. Mine is quite significant. I'm hoping it just needs to be settled. But we'll see after a few hundred miles

FWIW

These two photos were taken within 5 seconds of each other. Goes to show our cell phones and photography skills can really effect our rake.

the rake in those photos looks identical to me. also, I'm pretty sure most folks are measuring in real life but posting photos for discussion reference.

I just purchased the kit and had a couple of questions. I have read the 139 page thread and can't find the answer I was looking for.

I have Pro Lift Eibach shocks and springs front and back. Some of the pictures I see show a reverse rake or very slight impression of one. It was my understanding that if I set the front clips at the second from the bottom it should fix my concern. And the ones that I see with the clip all the way at the bottom is the full 2.75" advertised lift. The second to the bottom should be around 1.75" so I will still have a slight forward rake. Which should make the vehicle 1.75" front and 1" rear instead.

is this a correct assessment of the situation?

so what do you need to do to end up with it flat or a positive rake? I absolutely do not want a negative rake. It's an incredibly amateur redneck look.

Different strokes for different folks.

Some people prefer the pre-runner look, but when we develop our kits we're shooting for a level look. There are production variances, wear and tear, etc which effect heights so we test multiple vehicles, take our averages and finalize from there.

If you want a positive rake and are planning on extra weight, I would suggest bottom clip with our rear springs. If you are not running third row seats, and don't have any additional weight, second clip should get you approximately level. The 5th gen is a big challenge aesthetically as the rockers and fender arches cause the whole vehicle to look reverse rake despite measurements being taller in the rear.

on an actual prerunner/trophy truck with the bodywork and long travel suspension is fine. Retail market passenger vehicles, whether SUV or truck, with a reverse rake look like shit. More accurately, they look like a dog trying to take a shit. My town is full of trucks with huge rims, low aspect ratio tires, and like 6" of reverse rake. Quite possibly the worst "customized" vehicle trend anyone has ever come up with.

anyway. with the clips in the correct positions to assure no reverse rake, what size tires fit under there on an otherwise stock vehicle?

^this. I took a laser level to mine and a level 4runner can look nose high.
Another thing to consider, I have a marked spot in my garage I measure from to see where its at. I have parked in 4 different spots and get 4 different measurements on the same day

Sorry to beat this to death, but back on pg 29 someone is saying the exact opposite per Eibach's recommendation. He said the second to the lowest because he had a winch and bumper and if there was no additional weight then use the lowest setting. I do run a RTT and camping gear and don't want the reverse rake.

The 5th gen has about a 1.75" difference between the front and rear height (SR5 and OR).

With the Eibach kit, their front lift coil is 1.75" higher than their rear lift coil.

If you want your truck level (assuming you have no additional weight), put the coil on the lowest setting (0").

If you want to retain some factory rake, you can:

add a spacer to the rear
-or-
get a taller rear coil
-or-
get the Eibach load leveling system for the rear so you can dial in your lift height.

Here’s my lift. Not gonna lie... there is a slight reverse rake... but I’m not terribly OCD, and it doesn’t really bother me

This picture is deceiving because your horizon is crooked, making the front end look higher than it is. Take a look at your roof line compared to the top of the garage door behind it. It looks level with that line.

Have you measured from the center of hub to the bottom of fender on level ground? If so, what did you get?

This is how we measure as well.

I don't think this is the opposite of what we recommend.

He's got additional weight on the front and wanted it close to level, so he moved the perch to the second clip to accommodate for the extra weight and give him a more level look.

In your scenario, the first clip would yield the results you're looking for because you're loading the center/rear of the vehicle with no additional weight over the front axle.

This all being said, our HD rear springs have been test fit and are getting final revisions made before being sent to production. Once approved we'll be looking at about 8-12 weeks for production. I would estimate late January/ early February considering Holiday schedules.
