I believe the V8 4Runners actually use a different clamshell (due to the lack of an ADD and they are also slightly larger, I will see if I can find the post where this was mentioned) in the front than the V6 units if I remember correctly. The rear axle should be similar between the V6 & V8 models of which they should be compatible.
Also... what is the box in the picture for? I mean I'm not complaining, its a nice box.. but isn't the locker supposed to go in the axle? Is it hot swappable?

Sorry I havent been ignoring you I have been interstate at an event called Tuff Truck here in Australia, and didnt have any mobile service. I got back in the office today:ranger: its a long drive from the NSW Hunter Valley back to Melbourne.

Edit: Just to be clear, that is the stock ratio for ALL 4th gens with the 5 speed. So only exceptions are the 03-04 V6's. Hope that helps.
