Hi,
I just called Toyota to complain that entune is being advertised to be more than it generally is.
Specifically email\calendar\sms\picture access while plugged in.
the toyota sales people talk very highly of what entune can do but wont pair your phone to test it before sale.
Post sale you are told "an update" may be required to enable the PIM features of entune.
First I dont see how i can discover what entune revision is installed on my 2012 t4r LE and i dont see a statement on toyota's website stating what the current version is and when then next version is expected. For instance: the summer 2012 entune update expected banner is still all i can find. However summer if just about over folks and there's no additional information.
I'd like to know when iphone 4s compatibility will be a reality. Its just about he most popular smartphone out "there" and its nuts that entune isnt fully compatible.
If toyota wants to blame apple for that one then there should be one hell of a disclaimer.
I could see a class action lawsuit in the future for the misleading pictures/statements from toyota and thier dealers.
Finally, i may have missed something here or there so if you know something i dont please feel free to share.
I did take a few minutes to review a number of the phones available from ATT and not one of the ones i reviewed had any compatibility for messaging/calendar. thats a big fail in my opinion.
