DAY 22 Taco Tuesday!!!

So believe it of not for whatever reason I have been stoked for taco Tuesday for like a week now, not sure why!! I woke up this am to spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge even though it was overcast and could see the sun too good. I decided to go venture in SF where I stopped at Mel's Diner to have some breakfast. While I was there I witnessed a guy trying to steal from a truck the the owner was siting in front of at the diner!! That resulted in the guy actually yelling at the owner for whatever reason!!!! Anyways their are crazies everywhere but that was by far the best thing I've seen thus far!! I was ready to get out of SF so after I drove to Lombard Street I decided to check out pier 39 where I got to see sea lions, what an awesome deal!! They are mean and seem to be caught in the middle of evolution. They have Fins but yet try to walk like the have paws. I say they are mean because while there was plenty of room for most of them they continued to fight over who was going to be the guy on the wood!!! From there I headed south whre I saw some if the prettiest country side that just always seemed to change around every corner and it was beautiful. I finally made it to LA where I hopped on the 405 to Wilshire, I stopped at a cantina and had all you Can eat tacos for 5$ buy one get one corona for $6 so not a bad gig. Oh and 5 to park which is a pain. Everywhere u have to pay to park. From there I headed to Venice Beach where I was disappointed that it was pretty much closed. Granted it's overcast cool and Tuesday but damn. I wanted to see Venice poppin!!! Now I'm at a bar called Hinanos and it's a cool spot!!! The whaler place never served me, guess they knew I was broke!!!! I'm trying to find d a place to park for tonight like last night and then I will be on my way out of Cali. I wish that I had a month just to spend here. By the way I stopped today and left my card at this FAS station in the middle of no where, you'll ha e to wait for the video!!! Anyone know if a place to park so I can camp around here.

These beer tabs are worse than visiting a dispensary!!! Till tomorrow, Peace

LA beer and Belgium Women!!!

So apparently last night I either had way too much to drink ( I doubt it because it was only like 25$ tab) or I was drugged, I will explain more when i get full battery and some time!! but apparently I left and moved my truck in front of the bathroom where I passed out. When I woke up I was greeted with a $65 parking ticket!!! I could have got a room!!! Anyways I left and now I'm having breakfast at the Nosh in Beverly Hills and then I'm off to Vegas!!!

DAY 23

What's up guys, I'm currently in the back of the 4runner in the Mojave Desert.

I really wish that could take pics of the stars bu my phone won't capture them.

So I woke up this morning in front of the bathrooms at Venice Beach sleeping in the front seat of the 4runner without the seat reclined and engine running.
I was hanging out with two dudes that produce commercials for most the night, talking stories of traveling and so on. When they left a pretty Belgium women came up and we were talking good conversations about travels around the word and my travels and random different things. The last I remember aan came up to her, I assume her boyfriend, and that's it!! Now my bar tab was only like 25$ so I know that I wasn't blackout drunk, trust me I've spent periods of life getting that way on a regular basis so I know I wasn't!!! I assume that the 2 drugged me in order to try and rob me. Now, as I said before I've been pretty messed up on various different occasions and my typical deal is that if I feel out of control wasted then I will dip out and not say nothing to anyone. I think that's what I did therefore foilimg their plans. Good thing I do that because that could have been a really bad situation, damn Belgium women!!! I woke up with all of my belongings and money and the fine city of LA gave me a gift a $65 parking violation for parking on the beach. I wonder what happens if I dont pay it??? Better yet I wonder if they would understand the situation??? Anyways it was time to head out if the city!!

I stopped through Rodeo drive

I ran into a women that I jokjng asked if people really wore some of the stuff I was looking at. There was one outfit that reminded me of something that my grandmother would have knitted, I'm sure it was way ridiculously priced!! She replied as if she was happy someone had talked to her, she also had an out of country acent that worried me based off last night's experience!!! Nonetheless, she said wait about an hour or so and then watch the people that come through it was a true sight, also I may see famous people. This being the case I asked if I was to eat at one place nearby where would I go? She said follow me I have to go right by the Nosh where u should eat. So I did

For those interested in my diet, I had a Denver omlet that was onion and peppers no cheese, wheat toast and some tomatoes. Not bad right? From there I decided that I would venture around to some places that I had only heard about or seen on TV. Oddly enough I've always wanted to see South Central, Compton and some of the "rough" areas of LA. I was surprised that it wasn't that bad though I stayed in main areas not deep into the hoods!!

So good!! From there I headed back to Wilshire to drive through Hollywood. I quickly got aggravated at the traffic and didn't get much pics because I wasn't going to spend the money to park, they have gotten enough from me I'm done. I did get the sign though and drove through the hills and Hollywood Blvd, and looked at the stars on the ground. These things to me are captured perfectly on camera and really don't warrant a must see activity. However the hills were kind of cool I didn't realize that the streets were so tight.

Interesting side note, half the reason that the traffic was so bad, other than being LA, was the cops had stuff blocked off everywhere I turned. I stopped by the gas station and notices folks outside and news crews and more cops blockage so I asked the attendant what happened. Apparently someone tried to rob an off duty officer, a fight happened, the criminal pulled a gun, and the cop pulled his and they had a shootout. The reason for blocks everywhere was that the guy ran off they were still looking for him, this would also explain all the choppers I had seen. So I decided then that I needed to move on.

I plan on hitting Vegas tomorrow where I saw advertised rooms for $30 which will be cool so I can upload a video that way they are not as long. I could also use the bed I'm sure. I stopped today at the Pilot station and showered where I noticed that my collarbone has shifted and is now sticking out in different places than before, it is also hurting so I need to get it looked at when I get back, washing the windshield at gas stations is a painful process. Here are some pics, I wanted to do the Mojave Trail however I am really running out of time and need to head back so I settled for Mojave Rd and got some decent Off-roading with sand, rock climbing and great views and a great place to camp to see the stars, I can't wait for the sunrise. Tomorrow, Vegas bound for the day, it's only an hr or two away so it should be fun!!

This is the exact truck I'm going to get soon I want it flat black whitewalls, red wheels with chrome moon cap, it will say Carolina Car Guy on it

Wild right!! I wonder if I can just fence off an area and be like this is mine now?? Kinda like squatters rights??

I must say I'm happy about my sleep set up. I was able to arrange everything into the back and fold up the seats. Because of this I'm able to move a few things and fold them down to sleep on. I set my big bag under the pad for extra padding and changed to just my gym shorts since it's in the 90s. Good thing is no snow!!

When you make it into flagstaff, right off rt 66 there is a place called MartAnnes that has the best huevos rancheros I have ever had, then on the other side of the road, on beaver st, is Beaver Street Brewery. I recommend stopping in for a cold one! Hops on Birch is another cool bar in flagstaff, they have more beer on tap than any place Ive ever been, and will happily pour you as many samples as you would like!

FYI- Read the fine print for the $30 advertised room rates in Vegas. Many charge a resort fee of $15-30 on top of that PLUS, there is mandatory room tax. Most will be $80+ before you know it, and it isn't worth arguing. Get one that clearly states no resort fees, and no matter what the tax will be on top of anything you rent.

The Canneries are the only ones I know if that don't charge a resort fee casino wise. Use Kayak to book the room and after you search, change the prices at the top to show total trip. That way you can see the cost including any fees and taxes.

DAY 24

What's up guys, I'm writing you from the room I got at the Circus Circus. I'm letting my phone charge b4 going out to a biker bar named Hogs and Heifers. I got here pretty early after waking up to a wonderful sunrise in the Mojave Desert

There was an oder in the 4runner that I found to be the piece if shit cooler I wasted 100$ on!!! I seriously would have been better with a decent 20-50$ cooler and spending the money on ice. My eggs and creamer had spoiled because it had gotten too warm, no mind you it was only off for about 6hrs and it was in the upper 50s I also never opened it. Anyways it is what it is. I decided to head on into Vegas and try to find a bike to rent. I went to 3 places and they were all sold out except HDLV had a Breakout, not my style but it's 2wheels and a Harley so it will work. For whatever reason the breakout cost more and I was able to get them to work with me on the price.

After that I wanted to drive on rte 66, see the hoover dam and the chick had gave me a good rte to follow so off I went. First I drive around the strip checking out some things

I had the highest priced BBQ sandwich in the world. They claimed to be the best in LV, if that's the case Im disappointed!!

Stopped in Laughlin and they are having a race this weekend so guess where I'm headed tomorrow for a little while!!!

I have always wanted to ride it drive through the desert in a long travel truck and I had made that my mission prior to the trip so hopefully tomorrow is the day. I'm also going to talk to Nitto if they are there.

After that I rode back and watched the sunset, thankfully cause my arms git the first biker burn this season today!! I will say those mountains get chilly when the sun's not out. My phone went dead because I would have liked to get what Vegas looks like coming in from the desert at dusk. Anyways I'm about to got out for a little bit and I will be sure to stay away from the Belgium women!!!

Circus Circus isn't the classiest place in town, but it is a hell of a good time. Brings back good memories of staying there last year for a Metallica concert just across the street.

DAY 25

Today I write to y'all while sitting at the Fisherman's Landing in Meadview AZ. I woke up this am, somewhat hungover from a great time at the Hogs and Heifers bar in LV my tab there was rather extensive however I knew exactly where I was, and what I was doing the whole time further proof that I was drugged in Venice. Anyways, here are a few pics from last night. What a great time

I woke up wanting another day for rest, I called the office and overnight the room price went from 30$ to 100$ so that was a no go. I suppose coffee and greasy breakfast would work. So off I went, first I needed to get the bike back to the dealer. Wouldn't u know my luck is that it rains in the damn desert while I'm here!!

The damn buffet was $18 crazy!!! That's half the price of the damn room, plus I'm not a buffet fan so Dennys it was. It was on the walk to Dennys and my visit at Denny's that lead me to determine I'm done with Vegas!!! I did stop by Shelby while leaving although my phone was dead (passed out and forgot to charge, I hate it when that happens!!!) From there I drove to Laughlin to try to catch some off road racing. My luck came through again, no racing today it's tomorrow. I did get to see some bad ass trucks and buggy's though

This one makes me miss my Tundra that was set up the same except I had crew cab. Same shop I bought the Mid Travel set up from though.

From there I was off to the Grand Canyon. My map pinned the sky walk cause I thought that would be the national forest well after stopping at the Grand Canyon West Ranch and getting knock up for $7 beers I found out that it's about $100 to go on the skywalk. Well, I'm out, ID rather view it via off road trails.

If anyone can help with that please let me know!!!

I did find a sweet spot to camp and I found this little bar that has $2 beers and $6 BBQ sandwich. I plan to go find some spots to look at the canyon and head towards Flagstff I guess. Here are some pics of Today

Sam's route costs money, Kevin's is free. I have no idea what the difference is, if any. Kevin's route can also be purchased preloaded on a MicroSD card for Garmin, just like Sam's, and the route cards can be either printed by him and shipped to you (for a price), or you can print them yourself.

Just now getting caught up on this thread. Apparently there is a section of Kevin's route that goes through private property and authorities are issuing trespass citations.
