Ever clean your cabin filter???

i think the WS signifies Bosch's line for service centers -vs- end-users/consumers. not sure if there's any difference apart from the packaging.

Thanks. WS stands for work shop, which makes sense with your explanation. I'll know soon enough - eta the 22nd.

Interesting to note that when it comes to plumbing fixtures, you can get the same looking faucets from a plumbing supply house and Home Cheapo, but there is a world of difference in the quality of the product.

On a semi-related note... Does anyone know why the recirculate button will only stay on for 10 minutes at a time?

Annoys the crap out of me with all the smelly redneck trucks about.

I'll have to check mine on the way home tonight, but as far as I can remember mine stays on all the time or until I switch it over to fresh air.

If I remember correctly if you are running the defroster then the recirculate will only work for a short period, this is a big brother knows best feature.

Here's the cabin air filter I use and satisfied enough that I just ordered another one. 2010 - 2012 Toyota 4Runner - Cabin Air Filter

Here's a good thread on why it does it and some fixes.Hold it down for 5 seconds and will stay on...... http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/66324-does-your-recirc-button-stay.html

Keep me posted as mine gets here a few days after yours...

Came today. Looks fine, fits fine, works fine.

I'm in the process of doing the 30K maintenance on my 5th gen now. Although I had the cabin filter replaced at the dealer 10K miles ago, I'll probably go ahead and replace it now (vs. cleaning). I'll try one of the WIX filters as its available at a local parts house and, from the pictures posted on Amazon, the medium looks more in line with the "original design" that came from the factory.

As a side note, while changing the oil last night, I found where the dealer evidently completely stripped one of the 10mm bolts that holds the lower plastic cover underneath the bumper when they replaced my headlamps under warranty. :censored:
