Experience with Eibach Pro Truck lift kit?

Hi guys

I've searched all over and can't seem to find much feedback or real world reviews of this Eibach Pro Truck (Stage 1) 2.75/1" lift kit for 4th Gens.

I am looking at this for a 4th Gen V8 Sport with 150,000mi on the stock XREAS. Want a mild 2"ish lift and don't care for the adjustability and rebuildability features of more expensive offerings like the Toytecs etc. This kit is under $700.

My use case is 95% highway driving with some light trail and offroading. I primarily want a slight light and to maintain OEM-like comfort.

Is anyone running this kit and have feedback on ride comfort, handling etc?

I’ve talked to Eibach about that kit before… but I haven’t tried that kit personally.

Eibach is primarily a spring manufacture, and a very good one… and few years back they got into making their own shocks too. I was told it’s very similar to a 5100 which is pretty much the gold standard for OE replacement road shocks around here which do fine for off-road applications until you get into high speed stuff or need dampening adjustability.

Considering they make both the spring and shocks, probably very well matched, street / OE replacement applications, I say go for it.

That said, Eibach told me you get the stated lift height with a pretty leveled finish.

You do know the factory is in Corona... you can stop by, get a shop tour, even have them install it. Their customer service is pretty good, I just call them and ask for the information you want.

i am somewhat interested too.
eibach has had reputable products in the car game for a long time,
going back to my VW and WRX days.
anyone else have photos of this kit installed on their 4th gen?
i am most likely going to spend the few extra hundred on an OME kit - with possibly new UCAs (might not be necessary for a 2.5" lift with the 884/895 kit)
but it seems like these were designed to run alongside otherwise stock chassis components which is nice.

i concur. i have owned 2 sets of high end coilover for my old gti and a nice cup kit on my wrx, kyb shocks and epic springs, and was astonished at how obnoxious some of the suspension mods on these 4th gens are. 1/4 spacers on one side on top of different front and rear shocks w differing front and back springs. i am looking to go all old man emu or even this eibach kit if i see some more pics of the kit on a 4th gen.

i concur. i have owned 2 sets of high end coilover for my old gti and a nice cup kit on my wrx, kyb shocks and epic springs, and was astonished at how obnoxious some of the suspension mods on these 4th gens are. 1/4 spacers on one side on top of different front and rear shocks w differing front and back springs. i am looking to go all old man emu or even this eibach kit if i see some more pics of the kit on a 4th gen.

You could call Eibach and ask if the front driver and passenger springs are the exact same length or if they actually have different part numbers for each side… if they don’t, you are still going to have that driver side lean needing a 1/4" spacer.

I am running Bilstein 6112 coilovers and those use 600lb Eibach springs. Both springs were the same, and I still needed 1/4" spacer. It’s pretty typical for our trucks, I would expect needing to do that regardless of the route you take.

My friend has all regular OME stuff on his rig and it’s held up great though the years… he beats the hell out of the truck too, more than I do that’s for sure.

I wish they made the new OME stuff for the 4th gen, the BP-51 shock looks pretty nice. I would went that route instead of the 6112 just to have the internal bypass. It’s a little off topic because both options are going to cost considerably more than the Eibach kit or a refresh using 5100.

I've spent the last 10-14 years playing in the Honda/Subie/BMW worlds and have never ever come across such a ala carte approach to suspension kits.

I always thought spring and shock rates had to be matched to applications/vehicles etc. I would have never assumed it was ok to mix and match to this degree! Perhaps 4x4's are different - I am still learning.

Hang tight - I aim to have this kit installed in the next month, and will report back.

I don't know if you have talked to Wheelers Offroad yet, but they would be able to tell you if you are going to need a 1/4" spacer with that Eibach kit.

I basically followed their recommendation and my measurement numbers before and after the lift were perfect. Without it I would have been 0.25" low on the driver front.

i hear you...ill prob load my gear in the trunk on passenger side jp i know its prob from the front end. i dont think .25" on a lifted truck is going to bother me too much but well see and thanks for the info. the ome kit def has my eye but is around a grand and that doesnt include the uca. hoping to see more info on this eibach kit though they have had a good rep as a brand for awhile from what i know.

yeah lol. im not going to install my kit or assemble front so i dont even like the idea of presenting more than two brands and a common kit to my mechanic lol. to each their own though. i had a rough country 2.5 kit on my jeep tj i forgot to mention and always research parts...was def raising an eyebrow to some of the suspension setups on here though. seemed like half the rigs were not straightforward in terms of a suspension lift.

I too started with cars before I got into the trucks… it’s different but you can still take the ala-cart with cars. I spent plenty of times reading about which shocks to pair with what springs. That usually goes away when vendors do the thinking and make pre-made kits that are popular combos… H&R / Bilstein Sport combo comes to mind.

Coilovers for cars vs coil overs for trucks was what I found to be very different… for cars I always ended up at my alignment guy for a corner balance. With driver in the car, throw the entire thing on scales, and balance the weight distribution.

Trucks… you mention corner balance and people look at you weird. Everything is done with a tape measure. Center of the hub to the bottom of the fender. Measure it, level it, call it good. There must be so much travel in comparison that it literally doesn’t matter.

That said, if you don’t want to think, there are plenty of complete single manufacture kits from people like King, Total Chaos, ICON, or whoever else, but expect to pay accordingly for those options because they are generally all on the high end spectrum of options. Lots of different ways to setup trucks, someone with a lot of armor is going to have a different setup than someone without. Really depends on how you outfit the truck.

I heard back from Wheelers - the Eibach Pro Truck kit springs are identical on both sides, so the spacer for the driver would be "required" to be level.

i have the pro truck RHA shocks and springs all around and love them. they used my truck for 4th gen testing so i had them installed at eibach by eibach techs. i had XREAS in there before and it seemed fine... until i ripped it out and replaced everything. it all rides so well on the street and on the trails. they are basically 5100 clones but nicer looking, better QA, better parts, machining, manufacturing, valving, etc. do it!

I just ordered this kit directly from Eibach, along with the 1/4 spacer for Driver's Side front from Wheelers.
