I think you will like it more. We did a high tuck wing that contours the fender flare to continue the line. We also made it to follow a lot of the sexy lines our trucks have. I've always loved the lines and curves, why get rid of em? I took some aesthetic aspects from a few bumpers but I tweaked them all to get the most sturdy, functional, and best looking bumper we could design. Plus I also chose a form to reduce weight. The method of reinforcement is almost space age and hopefully weight saving lol. I don't want to take the credit for the design though because my buddy Cam did most of the design work. I just gave him ideas and tweaked with his designs he made to my requests to get it exactly how I envisioned it!
I would almost recommend shipping it in just primer because when I got my sliders shipped from Iowa, they got beat to shit.
If you got line-x or rhino liner, that's a different story. I'd hate to have my customers deal with blemishes and imperfections. I'm very anal about design, functionality, final fit and finish.

I primed and painted my sliders and skids and with all the sand they use on the road here, it tore though the paint within months. Now I need to sand and repaint. I just need to find a pc'r close by. Lets see once I see it in steal. :wink2:

That sounds really interesting, I'm curious how you dealt with covering components like the washer bottle. Will your bumpers have cut-outs for lights like most competitive offerings?
Also for the person wanting to make aluminium fender flares, how do you plan on attaching them and will you be trimming and reinforcing the inner fenders for clearance?

My washer bottle got a coat of plasti derp and it's disappeared.
I think the bottle will be hidden by the wing of the bumper, so very little to no modification necessary at all.
I need to decide what I'm going to do for lights. I was thinking about incorporating Trek Lights LED offroad lighting into the bumpers so the buyers just have to wire and go drive. I contract for Trek, so it would be cool to meld two of my businesses into one co-op
If that doesn't work, the obligatory PIAA holes will be cut, but that's a last resort. I have much better ideas floating around in my cavernous cranium that I'm not going to share at this point in time to keep me from getting killed by my business partner lolol

I would agree that of you ship a bumper to ship it in primer. When my Demello was shipped it showed up u wrapped and with no pallet, stuffed into the corner of the truck standing on end. Scraped to shit. Good thing I knew that would happen. All I did was paint it using primer,hammered finish because its really hard, then a couple coats of textured black all rustoleum products. Of came out great.

I ordered a CBI. I ordered it bare steel no hoops. I've seen Superman3043's bumper in person and have some ideas to make it a little better. CBI will take the heavy work off my hands with the bumper itself and I can add some plating and hoops where I feel I want or need the extra protection. Then just prime an paint.
Looking good! How do you bolt the front of the winch down? Be careful with the leverage the you induced by having the frame mount come off that square tube. I'd consider adding a fill-plate between the square tube and bumper on the back side, just to solidify the area. Good work man!

Yup, Demello sent mine the same way, the shipping company said they remved it because it took up too much room on the truck. I let Demello know and they said they had just decided to stop using the shipper because of similar complaints. I was pissed at the shipping co. but the bumper was fine besides scarpes in the primer.I have had bad shipping experiences in the past which is why I ordered mine unfinished
