Final destination experience

Driving to work today, enjoying some nice music... getting in the zone. And from two lanes over, I see a car veer towards me. As I usually do, I give them the benefit of the doubt and think they will stop in the lane next to me, but today the car just kept coming into my lane. Swerved out of the way into another lane and honked my horn, but I'm pretty sure she didn't notice, then I pulled up next to her, and gave her the one finger salute. I HATE PEOPLE. Mostly for making me swerve into another lane without looking and then just pretending like we didn't have a near miss at 70mph. I should've just let her hit me. Girlfriend says I was harsh... oh well. People are RE****ED.

Then I went to lunch with a buddy from work and of course... as I am pulling up to the stop sign, exiting the parking lot, another car comes zooming across the front of my car (no ****, 1 foot away from my bumper) into the parking lot without looking or slowing down. Probably going 25-30mph. Slammed on the brakes and then jumped him in the parking lot. Ended up being someone from my squadron, so I only broke one knee.

Decided maybe I shouldn't drive for a good week. Let the demons find someone else to take with them. Thanks for reading. Needed to vent.

Driving today is a whole new experience. You really need to be aware and alert at all times. You need to drive defensively. I tell my daughters to do the same thing. Always be aware of the drivers around you because you need to watch what they are doing and how they are driving in order to avoid any instances that may occur.

I understand your pain. Seems like every time I get in the 4runner I come across ALL of the idiots around my town. Just yesterday, I was coming up to a stop sign and almost T-boned a lady. She was turning and cut into my lane about 6-7 feet and I had to jump on the brakes. I don't know why it's so hard to drive the extra 3 feet to be able to turn into their own lane and not into my oncoming lane.

People are idiots these days when it comes to driving. Just the other day on the highway, I signaled to change over from the fast lane to the middle lane. As I'm halfway through my lane change, some a**hole decides to move from the right lane to the lane I am switching to and am halfway in without using his turn signal. I had to slam on my breaks to avoid rear ending him at highway speed. He then continued to throw hand motions towards me. I end up passing him and in doing so, he sticks his tongue out at me like it was my fault. So I just ended up rolling the back window down to flip him off so he could clearly see it lol. I could go on and on with these experiences but we all know how it is. I drive quite defensively and by the laws and to see this nonsense just disgusts me.

I think yesterday was "National Drive It Like Its Stolen Day".
3am going to work, guy blows a red light with no lights on.
Also on my way to work, about to get onto the Triboro Bridge, some lunatic wizzes passed by me on the on-ramp, doing about 70mph, again no lights on.
On my way home, around 3pm, some 'dikc' decided to go down the wrong way on a one way street, same street an elementary school is on.

Hoorah for the holidays :) ... and here in Indy we just added the first snow for the season into the mix...

Be safe out there my friends....

Okki

Dude, don't ever SWERVE INTO ANOTHER LANE to avoid a driver, deer, etc. If you would have hit an unsuspecting car in that lane, you would be at fault. Just slam on your brakes but stay in your lane, if you still ended up hitting her you would have a clear case that she was at fault.

Look around you and see how stupid the average person is. Now realize that half of them are even worse. Keep that in mind while you drive.

Yea, I know this.... but in the moment sometimes is hard to fight instinct. That's why I was so pissed that she put me in that position.
