A friend of mine drives a new Colorado on daily basis as they are his work's fleet trucks. When I asked about them he said he loves driving them when they're running. Being a diesel fan I had to ask if he'd get one and he replied they spend too much time in the shop, both gas and the diesels and it's a lot of money to spend on a truck that's always breaking down and laughed. I had flash backs to my last 3 trucks, all chevys. I can't say I'm a Toyota fan boy as this is my first one, but I do like it better than my Jeep, I don't count as a truck, that I got rid of (along with my Jetta tdi cup car on the buyback) to get my 4runner. As far as serious competition, only time will tell but to me, I really don't think so. I would like to see Toyota step it up in the power (mainly torque) area and tech as well but Chevy isn't even on my radar. On a side note, my uncle was head of production for GM on multiple continents and if I wanted a Chevy he just sends me out the paperwork for a really nice discount, hence having owned 3, and I couldn't get myself to buy one. If I didn't get the 4runner, I probably would have gotten a f-150.
