Yup. Right out of the news release, eh?

I want to know colors...I guess more waiting for me until I can get the word direct from Toyota.

Sr5 is a "grade" like TE or Limited. It is just Toyota talk for trim. Basically, the transfer case lever is gone in favor of a dial like the part time 4WD Tacoma and Tundra.

Ha! Thanks .... simple. Woulda made more sense to just say "SR5 transfer case". Doh!

Guess mine's now a classic, eh?
 
The switch, ehhh, does not faze me, the usb port, that is something that should have been in the new location since the start though.

Too bad this was not under the 4R section...

"The 2013 Sequoia is available in SR5, Limited and Platinum grades, and all models for 2013 now make the 381-hp 5.7-liter V8 standard. The 310-hp 4.6-liter V8 has been discontinued"
 
I actually like the USB in the glove compartment. I can leave my iPod in there and not have to worry about it.

And the 4WD lever is nice. I definitely know when it is engaged.

So....does this mean a torsen for the SR5? Or did Toyota just decide to waste a ton of money?

My guess would be neither of the above. Another bogus report?

I doubt it. Like I mentioned above, the Tundra and Tacoma have switches with part time 4WD. It is linked above from the Toyota Pressroom site, so it is the real deal. Why they would make the change now is perplexing, though. Why not wait until the mid cycle refresh?

As far as colors, I'm going to guess no color changes because in the FJ section they talk about color changes. They'd have said the same about the 4Runner if there were new colors. They could have finally got it through their heads that there is demand for a white trail edition.
