Finally "news" on 2013 (?)

I don't get true allure of a switch, with the exception of those with the center differential. Why do I wanna rely on an another actuator; on the transfer case? It sucks I already have one on the front differential. Hey Toyota, I would like manual hubs with my lever. Please?

Super White isn't available on the 4Runner right now. If we did get white by some chance, it would probably be Blizzard Pearl. I think that is the problem. Toyota probably thinks that the pearl coat looks too fancy or out of place on the TE exterior. I agree that Super White or Iceberg would look much better with the TE than BP.

Sadly, even if the '13 TE came in white, I wouldn't be able to make the trade. Considering the hit I'd take on the trade-in and buying new ($40k for a KDSS TE, $26k trade-in, maybe, $14k differential), it is a lot more cost effective for me to just spend the $2k on the TE parts and build my own. I don't like the steering wheel on the TE and I prefer the seats on my SR5 premium, so I wouldn't be improving everything by jumping up to a TE. Finally, I'm going to buy a Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ next year as daddy's fun car.

I'll keep my shift lever thanks. And my usb port in the glovebox too. I like leaving my iPod Classic plugged in and permanently tucked away in there.

As for white, that would have been my first choice for my TE. Since it's rarely clean though, don't matter much to me anyways:cowboy:

Ya, that's seems like the pretty official press release! Not ,even a freaking new color.!They have gotten so boring with the 4Runners year to year updates compared to the FJ's and their TT models.
It's actually good news I guess for all of us that own one already as our resale value will be better.

Might be some deals on 2012 models left on the lot. Since nothing, really, is changing, a 2012 is as good as a 2013.

just hung-up with a USAA guy who I am letting chase the deal down for me and he said "They are making some 'subtle' changes to the exterior like the lights."

I pressed him on that little statement and he started waffling (didn't know he was dealing with such a detail guy)...so no idea if it's true or not. Man, I'd be pissed after all this waiting if pull the trigger on a 2012 and find 2013's without the bugeye head/tail lamps!

Never could understand why people care so much about LED and projectors? As long as light is adequate and not dim what difference does it make? I wouldn't pay extra for LED stop lights for instance, I don't mind to replace a $2 bulb once in 3 years : )

Ha! Yeah...it's interesting when WE teach the salespeople. It's pretty common to find that I know a lot more about the vehicles than any given sales guy. But I get it...hard to have too much detail when you're selling the whole line.
