FJ Summit 2012 in Ouray, CO July 18-22, 2012.

I am at the B&B for a couple of nights, but we are camping in Medano and who knows, if its more fun at the camp ground I may pitch the tent there. I can trespass/poach pretty quickly. Takes 30 seconds to put it up.

Ahh yeah..that's right.. you lucky son's of..... are able to spend more fun time out... *sigh* having a job is nice.. but I'll be joining Antman in wishing I was there for the additional camping fun!

Good Idea - At altitude it is still in the high 40's to 50's at night.

Ahhh, how the monsoon rains change the weather and fire conditions. The guv has lifted the fire ban (from the Denver Post)


Gov. John Hickenlooper lifted the statewide fire ban Sunday in the wake of wetter weather and with forecasts calling for more, but cautioned counties across the state to assess their need for fire restrictions individually.

"We're still urging counties to be cautious and not to take unnecessary risks," Hickenlooper told reporters. "We're asking citizens to be careful out there, but we're not in the same place we were three weeks ago and that's certainly good news."

Guys enjoy Colorado!

Just to emphasize, that's the statewide ban that has ended - each county will have it's own policy based on local fire danger (I think we still have restrictions here). And of course being Colorado, conditions can (and will) change. All that being said, glad you guys are still coming and enjoying our state. Hope you like it as much as we do. :)
 
Anyone consider a T4R CB channel besides the Summit standard channel 8? That way if Wed we wanted to get together for an evening run...?

I took the seat bottoms out to allow for a little more storage behind the front seats, but dont think I will need it anyway. I did throw in a North Face fleece and outer layer just in case, but doubt I will need it. Downsized my toolkit some, left the charcoal grill out since the fire restrictions, left in the wag-a-bag toilet for my late evening constitution, fridge is in of course, and all the electronic gadgetry, GPS, HAM, CB, etc., is in place as well. about 40 litres of water containment, and my camera equipment!

Ready to rock and roll and meet my all my new buddies!! Jonessseyyy (I cant ever remember which letter is repeated so I will just stick them all in a few times), Limamike, Potatoe Launcher (and family), 4shorerunner and Josh, looking forward to it guys.

8 = General FJ Summit
4 = 4Runner
9 = Emergency (not FJ Summit specific)
19 = Information (not FJ Summit specific)

COBRA 75ST DUAL WATCH
1. Set CB to one of the stations you wish to monitor.
2. PRESS and Hold the DW key until a beep is heard
3. Select new channel.
4. Press and hold DW key until a beep is heard.
5. The "DW" icon appears and monitoring begins.
6. Press any key to stop monitoring function

NOTE: The 75 WX ST will alternate between both channels until it receives an incoming transmission. Five seconds after the transmission stops, it will again alternate between both channels.

I don't remember if I ever posted this update on here or not, but I updated my trail runs about halfway through:

Thursday Trail Run: Black Bear Pass to Ophir Pass at 9:00 AM
Friday Trail Run: Alpine Loop (Engineer and Cinnamon Passes) at 8:30 AM
Saturday Trail Run: California Pass and Corkscrew Gulch at 8:00 AM
