Looks good with the clean body lines! How long did you have those decals on the side? I'm thinking about taking my TRD ones off, they've been on for 2 years I think. I just don't want the paint to show where they were if I do take them off.

About a year and a half, I was also worried but I took compound and polish and wax to it and it is totally fine. Absolutely no paint fade around the decal or anything. Looks great.

Saturday Night Adventure

Though not a long trip like Ive been doing all summer, [MENTION=107971]derpiful[/MENTION] and I spent a night up in Stove Prairie Ranch on Old Flowers Road and had a great time around the fire as well as got some cool pics.

When I bought the truck it had the Tread Wrights. Ran them in the snow for a whole season and with the Kedge Grip, they are actually super impressive on everything except black ice. But not many tires perform well in black ice soooo. Just make sure you get Kedge Grip. It's micro sipping in the tread. makes for lower tread-life but immaculate traction.

All said and done super easy the second time around. Another set of people telling me to replace my CV axles but meh. My truck stops very fast and very smooth, no weird pulling and It locks up the front tires for the first time in my owner ship on dry pavement. YAY NO ABS. All in all so far very happy will update as I put more than 10 miles of driving on it. Didn't do a crazy break in like the write up says but I drove aggressive (as much as I could for a busy neighborhood) ran some stop signs to let them cool down and no weird noises and all is good.

"Overlanding" to FJ Summit
8 Days, 7 Nights and 950 Miles.
Day 3

I KNOW I SUCK AND It's LATE AND WHATEVER. IM DOING IT THOUGH

SO with my foggy memory because I waited so damn long. Here is day 3 of our wonderful trip out to the FJ Summit!

Left Hagerman pass and headed to Aspen where we spend some quality time cliff jumping in the Devils Punchbowl. Used the refreshing and frigid cold water as a chance to bathe and get the stank of us for the remaining days. Lots of fun, highly recommend it. After that, we headed for Crystal Mill. Some of the most amazing views I have ever seen in Colorado with the weather we experienced. Lots of rain and amazing lighting. After enjoying the mill we got BBQ that blew our minds and drove through the night to Crested Butte where we set up camp at 12 am in Paradise Valley.

Thanks for the update. With all the snow you guys get (shakes fist ), the wet/rain snow they good? This is the AREA and a few others that have caused me to absolutely hate my current Duratracs. Had I known what I know now, granted I needed to see if they would work for me, I wouldn't have ever left a M/T tire just so they would at least clear out and not hold EVERY SINGLE FLIPPING GRAVEL ROCK!!!!!

New stuffs.
Got a new set of Treadwright Guard Dogs in 285/75r16.
The used set I was running was getting a little scary, dry rotted and cracking, they were almost 7 years old so time to upgrade though the tread depth was fine.
Excited to see how many miles they last. For reference, I put them on at 194,5xx miles. Going to try and rotate with every oil change.

If you think you're late on the trip report, then I'm even later. Just finished going through my pictures. There'll be a massive photo dump within the next week hopefully.

I didn't realize it until those shots of the truck on the lift, but you're running the Fox 2.0 w/ reservoirs I've been looking at for a little while now. Do you know which ones exactly you have? I'm looking at ones for 4th gen 4Runner/2nd Gen Tacoma. How do they ride? I can get a set brand new with reservoirs for $400, so they seem to be a pretty good deal.

Yeah it is fun to look back on it. The first thing I do is the written part of trip reports, because those are the details you will forget first, then I go through the photos.

Nice, those are the shocks I've been looking at. FJ/4th Gen/2nd Gen Taco all use the same part numbers. How do you like their performance?

How do you like their performance?

Pretty good. Super Smooth at higher speeds and flex great. I had bad luck with the weaker upper stud but with the proper bumps, I have had zero issues.

This thing is pretty crazy. 1/4inch thick steel. It's on the heavy side but going to be awesome for keeping everything protected. Has 8 mounting spots with some beefy hardware included?

Upon install and pulling my old one, I forgot that half my mounting holes are stripped so I'll have to retap some but got the skid on for mock up. Need to pull it and paint it before heading for the hills this weekend!

Nice. I like how the middle and rear bolt holes are recessed, which allows all stock hardware to be used instead of some mix of carriage bolts. No more one-handed (stock) skid plate installations though.

Edit: Consider slotting 1 or 2 of the front mounting bolt holes all the way to the front, so you can have bolts in place already very loose and use them as front hangers for installation.
