It's really easy. Maybe 5-10 minutes a side. Go in through the fender well.
Our stock bulb is H16 — not h11, meaning that we are going to get close to double the output

Correct OP, I think our stock Fogs output is about ~750lm, IIRC!
Might look at TRS Morimoto LED Replacement Fog assemblies for that price!

Can't compare as I never owned any of the H11 / H8 / H16 Philips X-treme Ultinon LED Bulbs.
Looks like 1200lm per bulb = 2400lm total

How will they perform in a halogen reflector?
You are only getting LED output from 2 sides of the bulb fixture, 180° at most, so you are loosing 50% of your reflector.
That being said, Philips makes quality stuff. Give them a shot, see how they do.
As far as the Morimotos, I have them and they perform very well, bright and white in color spectrum.

up here every guy with anything bigger than a half ton puts HID bulbs in his fogs without projectors and then runs them all the time. I'm starting to think the domestic truck dealers offer them as part of the "douchebag kit", comes with a 6" chrome tip and a Revtech lift.

The review posted is what sold me on mine originally. GreatAvalon is also a huge contributor at TundraTalk.
I never took any output shots before I had my retrofit done. My projectors wash out the fog light quite a bit. If I had ordered the Philip's bulbs before my retro I probably wouldn't have done it. It's a bigger difference than you can tell in these pictures. I only have pictures of my Tundra lighting, and my wife never washes the 4Runner so I never take pictures of it.

Very impressed by the fog light bulbs I bought. I linked them above. Which HID's (4300,5000, 600k) would match up the best with these fogs? Once I get this done I don't want them to be mismatched on the color by too much. With the headlamps having a projector and the five thag don't I'm not sure if this is possible?
