For those considering seat covers

ordered GTcovers in Endura fabric. got them today. kinda liked the material, but wanted to see if they were good when installed. went to install them, driver seat first, and the area for the air bag was something an amature would sew together.....horrible!
im gonna return them and maybe exchange or get refund and start all over again. i was really counting on them since i have hard OCD and like my stuff protected n clean.....
im not too happy with this

yeah. was trying to save some $. Paid $363 with shipping for all the covers. but the way the drivers seat alone looked/fitted. huge deal breaker..
 
Covers

Any newer news/feedback on brand or install? We just got a 2016, it's rad. Sr5 cloth seats. We have kids and a big dog. Need some covers that will be easily cleaned or washed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

As stated above, Wet Okole, I have used for over a decade and are custom and very nice.
 
Wet Okole seats are not the best for short haired hunting type dogs the hair sticks into the fabrics and is a pain to get out they might be fine for long haired types. I sold mine because of that and the sweat factor, Neoprene holds body heat big time.

sweat factor needs to be highlighted, they suck in hot places unless you need them because you are jumping into your car with a wet bathing suit or something
 
Good points and yes, if you are overweight/out of shape or just sweat a lot, neoprene might not be for you, I don't have that issue.

Wet Okole are just bad IMO, they are neoprene which has everyone fooled into thinking these are water proof, when actually how neoprene works is it absorbs water (wet suits work by letting water in and letting your body warm a thin layer of water between you and the suit.)
Black Neoprene also fades to purple in the sun fairly quickly, I would avoid Wet Okole.

Neoprene also holds smells something awful (although a bath in listerine and cold water can cure that).

Neoprene seat covers

I few years ago I bought the coverking neoprene seat covers for the front buckets. From autoanything (250.00).I like the fit of the covers but the gray color is more of a blue-gray. I live in CA and drive the I-5, The I-15 and 395 for long periods of time, the neoprene is not good on long drives. You do sweat and get very uncomfortable. I put terry cloth throw covers over the neoprene seats to try to mitigate the problem but it just made it worse.The wifey hates the seat covers for the same reason. I will probably get something else or just take the neoprene off in the summer and use the terry cloth throw covers for now. I am looking at the carthart duc material does anyone have any thoughts on this product?

Clazzio seat covers

I know Clazzio is currently working on producing covers for our trucks, they are customizable on pattern and piping. Not the best though for dogs since the nails might scratch up the faux leather, just keep the dog I the cargo area and you should be good.

I can't disagree with that, I was a bit surprised when installing my step-dad's Xmas gift one year (got him custom Lexus two toned front seat covers for his LX470) that they didn't put a waterproof/resistant backing layer to the neoprene to mitigate that water issue.

Though to be fair I much prefer the Wet Okoles if you're more active/outdoorsy because it's thick enough that some wetness/muckiness wouldn't easily seep to the seat underneath. As for the smell, well we all scuba dive in the family so it's not something we're not used to.

Also considering my stepfather had an obsession with wool seat covers on all his cars, these are about 1000% better than those disease laden filth sponges he used.

My ideal seat cover would be something like a water-proof/very water resistant rip-stop nylon or similar material that fit tightly and nicely to the seat and was thick enough to stand up to repeated abuse.

The clazzio covers on the Tacoma looked legit. I thought they were stock! I went on their website and it shows they have covers for 2014+.
