Fox suspension?

I've been running those for about 4 months now and have no complaints. I have the 3" version with OME 3" springs. Personally I didn't feel like it would be worth the added cost for remote resi's in the rear since I don't foresee my truck seeing high-speeds for long enough to overheat the IFP version.

Yah I'd like the remote resi's but mainly for looks, hahaha, I'm tempted to order the IFP as they are 20% off
 
Are the 2.5 that much better than the 2.0 in the rear? I'm definitely going with the 2.5 in the front.

Sorry I haven't had the 2.0 to compare.

I wanted the same spec shock all the way around. The difference between the stock and this is well, and this is particularly true with suspension, you get out of it what you put into it. The stock is fine for stock, anything better is going to be better. Is from the 2.0 to 2.5 worth the extra money? For me, sure, the roads/trails I like to drive on, for you I have (k)no(w) idea.
 
If I switch to the 2.5s I'll still be running the 2.0s in the rear.

The 2.0s can't really go 3" and its a pain to adjust them to do it even if it could. You need a spring compressor...

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but what's the benefit of 2.5's in front and 2.0 in back? (vs 2.5 on both)

My GUESS: 2.5s on both would be better, but more costly, and since the driver and one passenger is up front, that's where you want the better system if you can only afford one. Am I close at all?
 
I’m running 2.5 front and 2.0 in the rear and love them. I’ve got about 25k on the setup and nothing but good things to say about them. Also get compliments on the ride quality from passengers.

I’m only utilizing them with the factory ride height setting from Fox and don’t do any serious off-roading. Mostly just trailhead access for MTB’g, but wouldn’t hesitate to push them if the need arises.

In for a response on this as I am currently in the market for a Fox set up. Newb to this and have been doing a bunch of research without much of an answer.

Also, if anyone is willing to to tell me if DSC is worth the extra money or not? What UCA/rear springs are people running with their Fox setup? Can anyone who has a Fox set up provide a list of product #'s as well so I order the correct one? I for sure want 2.5 in the front but am unsure on the rears.

P.S. I have a 2015 Trail premium W/ KDSS. 90% on road and am not planning on crawling or high speed dessert runs. Please advise and thank you in advance.

2.5 vs 2.0 -> $

If you are going to go 2.5 front just go 2.5 rear. You have more oil for cooling, and larger shafts (strength) and larger pistons.

I have DSCs and I say YES THEY ARE WORTH IT! It has been really nice to fine tune the ride. Front end seemed to be blowing through travel, no problem just added a few clicks. Rear felt wallowy, no problem add a few clicks. Going off road and need to soften things up, no problem just a click or two.
 
Fox 2.5 remote reservoir non-DSC front
Camburg balljoint UCA
Toytec "Superflex" 2" rear coils
Fox 2.0 Performance rear

Reason I didn't go to 2.5 rears in the back is because I'm not sure how the valving is for the Tundra shocks, which is what will be needed. I didn't get the DSCs for the front because I got these for a smoking deal.

After some other stuff, I'll eventually get the 2.5 DSC rear and send the front back to Fox to have them install the DSC.
 
I run fox. Nothing but good things to say so far :dancin:

Beautiful truck! I'm SO tempted by Fox, but I keep hearing about occassional quality control problems, poor customer service, and perhaps a lack of commitment to the truck world (mostly bikes). I don't hear a LOT of that, but as I've been looking for more about Fox, those keep cropping up and it makes me nervous.

OTOH, the rest of what I'm hearing is raving happiness.

What (and how much) kind of off roading do you do?

I have Fox 2.5 resi's front rear with DSC adjusters... I absolutely love them. I've been riding them pretty hard on some desert trails as well as some technical mountain trails. The way my friend explained it to me was the leaders in the Baja are all running fox and kings... Really can't go wrong with either. I too have heard of horror stories with customer service, few QC problems (but I think this has been encountered with many other companies as well.)
