Freshly Detailed

Over the weekend I got my 4runner detailed and had some paint correction done. I usually do it myself but the 4runner is way bigger then my last car and just don't have the time anymore. I forgot what products were used but the paint is smooth as silk!

thats why i bought silver color. screw washing the dirt off.

Looks good! I wish I could find a person in Houston that did a good job. I have some micro scratches and swirls in my tundra I would like gone. And some pdr work too. There was a guy I used to use when I lives in dallas and he would airbrush the rock chips and make them disappear like magic. He did all the PDR stuff to... It was great!

Looks good! I need to bust out my polisher and do mine as well. Crazy how bad my paint looks after 6 months.

Its crazy how improper washing will damage your paint. Especially on darker colors.

Your not kidding. Usually I wash it myself and use the 2 bucket method. Got lazy one day and took it to a place and that's all it took. I have silver so the sun has to hit just right to see all the swirls. Thinking about trying that opti coat stuff that was mentioned in another thread.

Good looking truck bro. Where in Florida do you live? I am in Wellington. Just got a Yamaha GP1300 and I also have access to a Kawasaki Ultra 300. If you're in the area we could meet up sometime?

What kills my paint is the dealer when they wash it after I tell them not to. I actually make a sign saying " No Wash" now and leave it on the dash. The two bucket method is great. You should try using a zymol sponge.

Thanks buddy, Im in the Orlando area but I do make some trips down south to visit some friends. Those are some sick skis man! Every time Im about to pull the trigger on one my dad always tells me its just going to sit since we don't live on the water. I usually just use my cousin's yamaha fx sho and boy do I love that thing.

Yeah zymol makes some really nice stuff! I actually stumbled onto a company called chemical guys and it's all I use now. Very good products that do or exceed what they advertise. I hate dealership car washes. Good idea using a sign.

I find detailing my truck therapeutic. In the spring, summer and fall, I usually wash and detail it once a week or every other week. I also have my friend detail it when I get real lazy as he owns a detailing business. Although I love the mud and dirt look from wheeling days, she looks so good when fully cleaned.
