The best I can tell from searching and google, the front mudflaps for an SR5 with black fender flares are no longer available from Toyota. I posted a want at for a set in the classifieds FYI. If I cant find stock flaps ill have to go aftermarket. Ive found threads talking about aftermarket flaps but nowhere can I find a picture of aftermarket flaps installed to see how they look. If im not looking at the right threads let me know. Is anyone out there using aftermarket flares on an SR5 and how do they fit?

I think I bought the last left and right fender flare extensions out there - sorry - but I searched for weeks !
I always thought these looked pretty sharp:

They look like good flares - but they're not going to do much as flaps.

If you have the stock running boards then you can rip the plastic off the front of them and cut it so it sits flush with the bottom of the truck. Better than having the gap in my opinion, but doesn't work as well as the actual mud flaps obviously (I used to have the actual mud flaps, now I have the running board ends).

Edit: I don't know of any aftermarket flaps that actually fit like the OEM ones do and cover the gap.

There is another set out there you can use, I have it on mine, so check out my build thread in my signature. I think the brand is Higland Contura. They take a bit of trimming, but are cheap and do the job.

My bad. I just looked up how expensive they actually were....:shocked:
I remember seeing them on ebay for ~175 for a complete set of 4. Still very expensive... but not almost $600!

What are the correct part numbers for the SR5 mud flaps that match the flares? Im going to call the local salvage yards but want to make sure I have the right part numbers.

I think your best bet is to just cut the part of the running board. I ordered some guards that fit the base model, they fit but it doesnt flow at all and looks funny. Bad idea to order them just to see how they fit. shipping was $10 then sending them back was another $10 and restocking fee was 15%, which was $10. waste of $30 just to see how they fit..
