How many watts rms can those boston 10's handle?! That brutus seems like a lot of power. I guess the more the merrier but wow! MaD PoWa Yo!

Power rating for the 10.5LF subs are 50-1100 watts at 2 ohms. I've got my subs running in parallel so my Brutus is pushing the full 1000 watts at 1 ohm.

Yes, it is quite something to hear these two 10s in action...I was not expecting the level of bass or loundess that I received. It really does sound incredible.

If you are @ Ramstein, then I think I may have seen /heard your 4runner. If this is the case, then I must say the one I saw sounded nice.

Sorry,

I'm at Spang, but PM your contact info and maybe we meet up next time I'm down there at the PowerZone.

I am not gettin my 4 runner til get back to the states. Gettin me an 04 sport 4x4. Just got my Bimmer now. In less than 2 months though......I will be in 4runner heaven.

DUDE... outstanding job of the stereo... curious how your trim ring looks on the radio... i just got my 2004 Sport V8 4wd 5 days ago! and already putting in a new head unit, but having problems with places getting the right install kit... any suggestions? thanks bro.. again, killer system!

Navy,

I presume you a military man like me...awesome and congrats!

As for my trim...I'm still working it. Because my HU is a double din, I'm forced to make my own. Right now, I'm experimenting with a plexi design...hopefully it will turn out right. I'll post shots when it is complete.

For yours (assuming is a standard single DIN) Metra and Skosche (spelling??) make one for your system. Don't get too wrapped up in the debate about some fitting SR5s and Sports and not Limiteds; I think that is BS. I've spent a lot of time behind my center console and I don't see anything that makes my limited different from any other trim model. I believe I saw the trim at Sounddomain.com for around $11 - $15.

Good luck!

You say you are working with plexiglass. If you know someone at your local sheet metal (SMCO) shop, give them a ringy dingy on the telephone. They get kinda lonly and bored on nights and have the best tools. Maybe you should offer a trade. You know us lowly enlisted like it when officers get us beer. Did that with my Nissan (enlisted to enlisted, of coarse), when I made a speaker box for my old Nissan. Was awsome! Those guys take pride in that other kind of work. Guess it comes from workin' on ye old air-e-o-planes.

That is a fantasic idea, I may have to go that way if I get into trouble. I've brokered deals with them before (was in Korea though).

They shouldn't have a probelm with it. I used to know someone there, but he left. He was telling me how slow/dead it was a nights.

I got it from a shop here in Germany. I really just lucked out when we found the color.

Here is another shot of it.

HU trim and adapters

I just found your post and it is quite impressive.

I am considering the same install for a 03 limited with the JBL 6-disk HU. It is my understanding from the Navi thread that the JBL HU trim piece is slightly different than the non JBL trim piece...I guess the best I can picture it is that there are some small gaps on the bottom and sides. How are you addressing this? Have you considered purchasing a new OEM trim piece?

Secondly, it appears from your pics that you found adapters to plug in to the OEM harness and then mated those leads with the HU wiring. Is this so? I assume you also had a JBL 6-disk HU....I didn't think anyone made these adapters for the JBL setup. Help??

Just curious....I have not looked at the specs for the HU...I surprised there is not an AUX IN jack for an IPOD...Is that right? I assume that's why you went with the Denison unit.

You have got my vote for 4ROTM. I don't know what it takes to get 4ROTM but with that stereo, your new rims, Borla, and those tails.......forget about it. Seems like a lock to me.

On another note, are you gonna ship your baby back to the US when you leave Germany?
