Hello,
A few years ago a shop installed the shallow mount JL audio 8" subwoofer into my 16 Limited stock enclosure and a 250 watt Alpine amp under the driver seat. I'm ready to put a 12in with a box in the trunk now and need some help from you guys running new subwoofer wire for under the driver seat along the driver side into the trunk area while keeping things hidden. The old wires cross over to the rear passenger stock subwoofer box. I was able to open the rear driver's side door sill but I can't see how to enter in to the trunk area. I think the tacotunes video online would have the wire coming out of where the jack is. Any way I can enter the trunk near where the rear seats fold up?
Also has anyone had seat cooling fan problems after putting an amp under the seat of a limited? It seems my fan had been disconnected for the past few years since then shop did the install. I hooked the fan back up today put thought I smelled plastic burning while driving so I turned it off. I believe the fan is now directly touching the amp where as before it was disconnected off to the side.

There are plenty of ground points (bolts into the chassis), in the rear cargo area! Just remember to sand the paint off of the surface beneath the head of the bolt, keep the cable as short as possible, and use a "Star washer" under the cable connector (Loop)!
I don't know where you've chosen to mount the amp, so I can't be specific about which bolt to remove, but any one will do under the carpeting. You can even use one of the bolts under the rear door sills; try to keep the cable under 12 inches and between 2 & 4ga, based on the size (wattage) of the amp! 'Best to you',
