Got the SSO high clearance mod done today

Sure, it visually exposes vital steering linkages and the control arms and probably adds to drag, but the odds of it directly creating a more serious impact in that area would be slim. Odds are whatever causes damage to that area likely would have had the same outcome with a standard bumper in place.

Not sure how I feel about the kits yet. It looks like [MENTION=131444]C4 Fabrication[/MENTION] is about to come out with one as well (they are sharing lots of pictures via Instagram stories lately-I just ordered a low profile bumper from them).

I think [MENTION=290929]YellowSnow[/MENTION] really got it right proportionally with his cut lines. It's a nice even reveal that matches other lines along the fascia. I'm most likely going to shoot for that design and see how it works for my setup. You can always cut more. I'm hoping to make the cuts with a razor knife and finely sand it down so I don't need a trim piece. We'll see how realistic that plan is.

My 4Runner is black so a trim piece doesn't bother me and is actually preferable but I can see how on any other color it could be an eye sore. I was trying to find [MENTION=290929]YellowSnow[/MENTION]'s thread where he posted his cuts but I haven't found it. Did he get banned?

Yes he did, at least for a while. I think I've seen him back on after that.

I agree that his cut line looks great. So did the inferno one as well.

Kinda sad really, if you make any comment that is perceived by SR5 owners as negative like saying you think an OR is more capable, that stirs up a hornets nest and SR5 owners go tattle to the mods and you get warnings or get banned. If you say the word "masturbation" in a sentence like was recently posted, well that's quite alright.

Trolls, over zealous moderators, and fragile ego's and feelings plague all forums these days, it's almost become unbearable to weed through it all. Spending time on a forum just to find that it is a $hithole sucks too.
