The gay scene lost it for me. I understand the let's sell to each demographics thing , but this was Bond. Really ?

You know I don't think they were trying to pander to a gay audience or anything like that. More so I think the writers were just really $h7tty and couldn't think of better way to make the villian menacing so they coped out with weird & gay as his main bad guy points. It was quite lame, especially since Javier Barton is a damn scary actor when paired with the right script. (No Country for Old Men ...) :bolt:

Drive was awesome. I got drug to it by an ex girlfriend because it has Ryan Gosling in it. She wound up hating it and I loved it. Oh the irony.

Love how all of a sudden it gets very dark and gruesome.

"Killing Them Softly"

A Boston mob movie. I had never heard of it, it was on Starz or HBO (can't recall exactly).

All I can say is wow!! Great movie, I think it beats "The Departed" hands down. Much more down to earth portrayal of the Mob.....liked it a lot.

I have to say the underlying message in this movie completely turned me off. Constant news clips of Obama blaring in the background while Pitt lectures about America as a business?

Complete liberal hypocrisy.

Also saw Lone Survivor on Friday. Very well done movie and was hard to not get misty eyed in parts. I was disappointed how it differed from the book however. I felt it short changed the Rangers who wound up rescuing him, and what they went through to find him. There were others as well, but that bugged me the most. Hollywood I guess.

Overall I put it up there with Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan and will be buying it on Blu Ray when it comes out.

LMAO!! That's exactly what I was telling my wife.. Although she didn't care too much for District 9 (Doesn't care about the gory parts in a movie actually)..
But yeah I was like yeah!!! *****es!!!! that's what you get!! hahaha!!

Same director, same theme, wealthy is evil, poor is good, everyone should be equal. blah blah blah...


Good one I just watched is the Secret Life of Walter Middy, great date movie.

I know its been talked about, but just watched American hustle....great freakin flick. It kept you drawn in the whole time, made you laugh, and kept you guessing. Christian Bale is one of the best actors I've ever watched.

And whoever was in charge of Amy Adam's wardrobe..:thumb3::clap2::bravo:

so well done. The premise, the character development, the relationship development, the dialogue, the pace, the lack of special effects, the sets and costumes, all of it so simple and eloquent and profound and original and just such a finely written, directed, acted and edited piece of work.
