Checked out the new Jurassic Park this weekend while it was raining like crazy. I give it a 5/10.
Deadpool though was just as funny as the first one. Definitely worth it if you were a fan of the first one. 8/10

Mission Impossible - Fallout.
I was really surprised at how good this movie was. The last 3 have been great mindless movies.

Each movie has had a different director. The last two movies .... Rogue Nation and Fallout were pretty awesome IMO. Especially the fact the stunt scenes were real, eg actually jumped out of a plane with the camera crew etc.

Perhaps movies like this just aren't for you?
My take ..... FALLOUT was awesome. Literally one of the best action movies in years. Yes more than a bit ludicrous but 100% kick ass!

Just watched the newish Tomb Raider and thought it was entertaining, but quite predictable. It was a completely different experience with Vikander playing Lara compared to the old ones with Jolie.
The best thing I watched recently was a YouTube video on how to remove the HVAC controls panel on my 4th Gen so I could replace a couple of burned out illumination bulbs. It was so easy and the video was a lifesaver to show how fast and easy the repair was. I found another video last week that showed how to remove the driver's door panel as I was trying to troubleshoot a clunking sound when I raised and lowered the window. Again, super helpful and made the job really easy.
I don't know how we survived stuff like this before YouTube. I know I would have probably removed a bunch of stuff that wasn't necessary and broken a few things in the process.

WTF was I thinking! It was the Predator movie I watched. Not sure how/why I listed Terminator :doh:. (which is a great movie)
That's a great quote. If you put aside what isn't part of his movie gig, the guy seems to care about what he's doing and is relentless in cranking out movies. It makes me almost want to forgive him for Top Gun 2....almost.

Well I am really hoping that Top Gun II will be good. I know that Cruise choose to move forward with the script and director Paramount setup, that he has avoided a sequel for decades on this one and that they are shooting the flying scenes with real planes. Let's just hope for the best.
On Tuesday I am going to see First Man in IMAX. If you like the NASA stuff I cannot recommend enough the documentary about Gene Cernan called "Last Man To Walk on the Moon" as well as the movie "The Right Stuff".
Regarding a Star Is Born well that will be a rental for sure.
