The Trail (and Pro I would assume) is listed at 9.6" of clearance. The SR5 and Limited shows 9.0" of clearance. I think the front end is lower on the SR5 and Limited. That would explain the approach angle differences too. I am guessing the 9.6" of clearance is measured at the lowest part of the rear axle. Here is the link:

You're comparing the Trail 4X4 with the SR5 and LE 4X2's. All the 4X4's are listed at 9.6":

However, this is another set of specs from the product information sheet that you just can't trust. The best strategy, if you are concerned, is to give your tape measure some quality time with the actual vehicle.
