Very nice flashback to Chris Walken! I think I'll add more fever, but with upgraded/thicker sway bars. I have added better tires and installed the Bilsteins also. A few months ago I contacted Addco (Home - Addco - Addco) and they advised that they were going to manufacture new sway bars for the 5th Gen. I have not seen them anywhere yet, and they have not answered my recent requests for info.

I wouldn't hold your breath as this thread http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/108413-5th-gen-swaybar-upgrade-addco.html was from over a year ago. There were a few other threads too dating back to 2010 saying "A few more months...." Reminds me of the movie "Money Pit" with the question "How long til it's finished?" "Two Weeks."

If you were only going to use the 4Runner on the highway the swaybar would help. It would be nothing but a hindrance off road.

I have not heard or read of anyone yet replacing their sway bar for increased handling although it of course would help. As a matter of fact, many on here have removed their sway bars because with the suspension upgrades they made eliminated the need apparently.

I was always wondering this myself, could you further explain what kind of suspension mods could replace the need for a sway bar? To the layman like me, it would seem like just throwing on stiffer springs does not completely mimic the "springing" actions of a sway bar (sorry for the lack of better description, lol).
