Hard to find Specs, Info & Measurements on 231mm 13WL Tundra Calipers & Rotors

did the brake upgrade this wknd. Ive got some northern rust issues. Ended up replacing a few hard lines. My dust shields are the pile of rust under my ride. Any harm not running dust sheilds? I dont do much wheeling.

I just finished this upgrade on my 2000 4Runner and can confirm that JAOS Excel Pro II 16" wheels will fit over the tundra calipers with no issues at all.

I installed the Power Stop KC2324 kit yesterday. Everything went on great.

My 16" Tacoma wheels fit over them fine. I do have 1.25" Spidertrax spacers installed though.

Did that kit come with the Z16 pads? I was going to do the same kit, but was considering getting the Z36 pads or finding some pads that aren't chamfered (OEM or aftermarket).

How do you like them, so far?

I just did this tundra brake upgrade with these rims. Yes, they do not fit but no grinding was necessary as I went to auto zone and picked up a set of universal wheel spacers for under $20. All came together well without having to grind the rims.

My stock alloys did not fit over the calipers. They rubbed the front facing casting of the caliper. I just grinded the caliper down and all was good.

Can't really say how well they work, just drove around the block and they seem OK, no big difference. We'll see long term, and over the summer when I tow my boat and trailer.

My brakes are starting to wobble a bit so I know the rotors are going out. Gonna go at this one with the rest of the maintenance items I have planned in a little while since it's not really that much more work.

Rockauto had some cheap prices on Tundra brake equipment, but I'm unsure of the brands listed. Their prices are just about the same as Adam F.'s discount at the parts store, same brands too. However, I'm not wanting to put some unknown aftermarket rotors without knowing anything about them. Does anyone have any input on these brands, or others from Rock Auto? Looking at the list there are: Centric, Wagner, A-1 Cardone, Raybestos (asbestos?), Monroe, among others.

Also, what do you guys think of this Rotor? I've not seen one with slots and holes, do you think this would work better or just shred up the pads faster (hence the "performance" tag): More Information for POWER STOP JBR935XPR.

You can paint them for pretty cheap.

Just read somewhere that you can't ever get them turned if you needed to so I surrender to the blanks.

Nope, plus they look cool, i'm @ 2 years and around 55~60,000 miles and am just now going to do pads and possibly rotors in the coming few weeks, i'll be going with the brembo drilled but not slotted rotors again if these ones are too thin when i take it in.

Random question but at what % does the front brakes use compared to the rear brakes? Reason I ask is because I've done the tundra swap and noticed while I step my brakes the front of the runner dips a lot as if the rear brakes are not working at all????
