Yes, those clear. Your spare won't though if you still have the steel wheel.I want to upgrade my breaks to the 231mm. I was wondering if someone can tell me if my stock rims will work. Thx for help
The answer in at the bottom of post 3 in this thread.
And just on the off chance that engrish isn't your first language, you're looking for the word "brake", "break" is something no one wants to do to their truck.
Mr BigFishAllDay. Tried this swap last night and used the exact parts you used. Some how the bleeder valves ended up being on the bottom of both calipers. What did I do wrong? Are they upside down? Couldn't be. Any advise would be great. Thank you from VA
Ive attempted to do this swap. One problem. I installed these w13 calipers on my 2001 4-runner and the bleeder valves ended up being on the bottom... What did I do?
This is an awesome thread. Hoping to do this soon.
You've got the calipers swapped (L on R, R on L).
Yup, you’ve got them on the wrong sides. I’m surprised the metal brake lines were long enough without unbending them.
I had a seized caliper on a Sequoia once - ironically the same caliper we’re discussing in this thread - when on a road trip and the parts store only had the opposite side caliper. I was able to attach the hard line to the unmounted caliper, bleed it upside down so the air bubbles went to the top, and put the caliper on upside down. Was like that for a few years before I had to redo the brakes to replace the pads again. Finally put the right caliper on.
Want to do the upgrade. From what I read, this stock rim should fit without any grinding off. Just trying to confirm before I pull the trigger.
