Has anyone had their 13' T4R GPS updated?

My 2013 Limited has the standard CD stereo with GPS (NOT the Premium system). The dealer told me last year there was no way to update. Now i am getting frustrated because I depend on GPS for work and more and more I have to swith to phone (I do not want outboard GPS). So I am thinking of upgrading the head unit to an aftermarket.

I called other dealer and they said I would have to bring it in. Just curious if anyone here successfully updated their STANDARD stereo GPS

BTW there is no Micro SD slot anywhere. Not even under the side buttons.

just get a garmin unit for $100-$150 and make sure the model code has LM in it.

LM = lifetime maps
LMT = lifetime maps and traffic
