Have anyone installed "Surround/Bird Eye View" Cameras for Offroading/Wheeling use?

Four 180 degs cameras:
- front
- rear
- left mirror
- right mirror

With computer distortion correction, it will ended up generating a bird-eye-view video of your car.

Seems like a useful features for wheeling....

A few new luxury cars like (BMWs) comes with this.

Anyone has experience? Any recommendations on aftermarket kit?

I have the Rydeen RDV360 system. It works great, but I had it on the stock head unit until recently and I can tell you a good screen is essential to making it as useful as it can be. I now run it on the Pioneer 8000NEX screen and it is amazingly helpful. I use it more than one might think but there are certain instances where you still need a spotter despite being able to see. Now, if I had a "diff cam".... lol This stuff is not cheap though!

How bad was the install? And where did you mount the DVR? I have been wanting to do something similar.

Instal was done by a redeen installer and took 2 full days and is not easy. The DVR is in the armrest center console.

Wow the whole head-unit is replaced!! How would something like this cost?

I was originally thinking that to hook up the camera system to the A/V inputs of my newly acquired 2015 SR5P. The display seems decent enough for this usage. And I would just put a button at the "party mode" spot to activate the "surround view".

I did it on the stock head unit and ran it that way for 9 months. This is just that much bigger and clearer. Plus the head unit blows the stock one out of the water. You are probably looking at about $1500-$2000 for the camera system I stalled and calibrated. Head unit can be purchased on Amazon for less than $1k.
