Having issues with rubbing after I messed up and used tacoma rims

Well guys i need some help here, Made a mistake with some +30offset TRD wheels and now im having some issues with rubbing.

I got the rims below off a buddy and put LT265/70R17 MAXXIS BIG HORN Tires on them.
Here are the wheels:

Because of the offset being +30 instead of +15 It moved the tires too close to my truck and they were touching the control arm.

SO I went and threw some 1.25" spidertrax spacers on there and it looks awesome now, but they come out TOO far now and when im off road and i articulate, the wheels hit the fenders now because they are pushed way past the fender.

What should i do?
-Buy some generic 15mm spacers and probably install longer lugs?

-Cut the fenders and add flares? (does this work on a 3rd gen runner?)

-Add bump stops?
-Get different rims that are +15 offset like stock?

Any help much appreciated folks

been looking for 15mm spacers, just generic ones with holes right, no built in studs? would i need to install longer studs then?

The lug bolts HAVE to be flush with the inside of the brake discs. if they are shorter, there's too much stress on a short bolt and it might shear off. if they are too long, they might interfere with brake parts behind the brake disc.
So, yes I'd look for 15mm longer than OE wheel studs to be safe.

Wheeler off-road has 1/4 inch spacers, I just picked up a set for the same reason this week but havent put them on. Then if you want longer studs I've heard the stock rear studs are a 1/4 inch longer than the fronts. But I think you probably would still have decent thread engagement without putting longer studs on.

Wicked, thanks man.

You runnin the same trd wheels? wonder if 1/4 are big enough. They are only 20 bucks so im gonna try em.

Not the same wheels, but the tires i have rub my upper A arm just a smidge.

They do lessen the amount of hub-centric enagement to the wheel, so I dont know if I would run them while doing any serious off-roading.

In my opinion, I would keep the hubcentric spacers you have on now and just invest in a real suspension lift.

1.25" spacers converted to MM gives you roughly 31mm. So your TRD wheels' offset changes from +30 to ~+0. This should make your wheels flush with the fender. However, you are also running 17 inch wheels so it's also smidge taller than the 16 inch wheels that I'm running.

The problem with the 1/4 inch spacers is that you still probably will not clear the control arm. 1/4 inch is roughly 6mm. Changing your +30mm to +24mm... still not the +15mm that you wanted. On top of that, your once hub-centric wheels will now become lug-centric. At the same time, this will not give you enough thread engagement when bolting/torquing your wheels back on. Fine for daily driving but once you hit a rough trail, theres a good chance you can shear your lugs right off the hub. You can get extended studs to remedy this but it still puts a lot of stress on the lugs.

I am not running spacers but I am running aftermarket wheels and was not happy the the thread engagement of my lugnuts and upgraded to these extended studs for peace of mind. Unusual Activity Detected - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

I don't think these will work if you are planning to run spacers like the Spidertrax because they will protrude past the spacer itself and hit the backpad of the wheel.

You probably won't have to do much clearance work with the 265s. They rub on the pinchweld area at the back of the front wheel wells? You could cut and hammer the pinchweld flat and probably solve the issue. Or set your alignment cams for max positive caster to gain some clearance at the back of the wheel well.

I wouldn't add bumpstops to the front end. Different wheels are an option as well but won't guarantee clearance.

I would be surprised if you needed to cut the fender itself, outside of the pinchweld area.

A couple people suggested different lifts for the front end - that will not help you clear tires unless it's a body lift.

If you just have the spacer lift in front, they probably used the stock coils which would be sagged down a good deal over the years. I had the same crappy spacers up front when I bought my 4runner used and I upgraded to the Toytech coil overs and got probably another 1/2" of real lift up front, plus your ride quality will improve immensely. I'd upgrading those coil overs, and cut/hammer down the pinchwelds and that should fix the rubbing. New spacers sound like it might be worth while too based on the comments above.
