Head Unit install problem?????? please help

so i got my head unit installed today at a professional store and everything which costed me a pretty penny but anyways i get it look at it and everything looks good so i pay and go home. this being at 5 oclock. i get home and figure out how to use it and then go inside. at 830 i decide to go fiddle with it again and check out how it looks in the dark i turn my car on to where the battery is on and notice this... wtf the shorted my clock light??? i have toggled the lights on and off and cranked the truck up then turned it off again and nothin works.....

im going back tomorrow to solve it but what eo yall think is wrong???

here it is... and what do ya know no clock light!!! :gun4::mad:

They probably forgot to plug the connector back in when they reassembled the unit. That's my guess.
 
If you want to check for yourself, it's very easy. First, remove the swing out door under your radio by opening it and pulling up. It pops right off it's hinge. Then there's a 10mm bolt in the opening behind it. Remove that bolt. Then you can grab the climate control system and pull it straight out. It's held by 4 plastic clips, I believe. Then just plug the connector back in and put everything back the way it was.

I believe he hit the nail on the head. I had to have mine out a week or two back to replace some bulbs. It's super easy and should only take a couple minutes at most. Also, I didn't even take that tray out, you can get to the nut without doing that.
 
i got it off took the plug out and put it back in and no light.....:( but everything else works... what is wrong?? im goin to let them deal with it cause they broke it...

Did you check the fuses? Maybe they blew one when installing the radio?

If they just blew a fuse (not uncommon), then it can be replaced with a new one. Shouldn't be a problem.
 
k good cause i need to see my gas mileage and how much farther i can go on my tank at night :) ha and im not a very wires knda guy as u can tell. u probably thougt i was stupid for asking if a blown fuse could be replaced haha :) thanks for your help and for future reference i can now take that off :)

Awwwww..u sounded sooooo cute.....

Just take it tomorrow ...dont mess with it to much cuz then they could say u messed it up!
 
Most likely your leds are burned out. Wiggle them. I just burned one of mine out when I put my new HU in too!. I switched the bulbs around to determine if it was the bulbs.

yes i can see the gas mileage and everything...

and its not the led's cause everything else lights up on the climate control knobs

and what is the country setting???????? and the clock works just not the led

I don't think the lcd's on the climate control knobs have to do with the clock & mpg lcd's. See pic attached.

that maybe it. if that is the problem i definitly want blue ones like yours! i must just do it anyways. first it needs fixed though. i went by today and they were swamped and i couldnt wait, tomorrow i got workouts, and friday i got to much stuff already planned, and saturday im goin to Clemson vs. TCU game. GO CLEMSON!! but i might be able to before hand
