That's a cool idea. You might want to cut off the bolts or put some sort of rubber caps on them so they won't chip your bumper.

Yeah man I need to, it looks like its touchin but I got like 1/16 inch clearance, still looking for some kind of cover. thanks.. . . . and oh yeah. . .GO DAWGS!!! haha

Thanks Alexjet, and only place i had to drill was on the brace between the radiator and the bumper, I'll get some better pics later if yall want

Has anyone every done somthing like this to a 3rd gen? i have a 02 and i dont want to drill into my bumper. i used to have them installed on a brush guard but i took it off but the lights are great so i want to put them back on..

any ideas?

thanks, but i just checked & the bottom of grille is in the way, thats one thing i wont cut. maybe ill see if i can put some ff75 or 55 in the lower bumper grille, that i dont mind cutting if its just as good a spot as on top.

i am in the process of doing this, but i am having trouble figuring out how to put the screws into the bar. i know that its hollow but i cant get to the other side. please help, mod is at a standstill

Thanks for this. I am going to be installing lights into the front bumper on a supported metal similar to yours but a bit thinner then washer on the topside with a rubber flange to cover the connections to keep snow from sitting on the footings into the bumper. I like the look you achieved a lot and closer to the ground is going to help your night vision quite a bit I would think.

i just got this installed last week.. thanks for the idea... its HELLA MICRO FF i hooked it up with the parking light and it has its own switch so i can turn it on/off at will as long as the parking light is on..
