So my jack and stands are not tall enough since the lift and tires. And I was just wondering if I NEED to put the front on jackstands to do the bushings? I must be missing something here?

Yes since you need to remove the rack to do the 2 bushings in the rack. You will ned to cut, grind or press them out whatever works. If the top bushing towards the center is still good you could skip doing that one and could probably get the left bushing out with the rack still on the truck but unbolted so you can move it around to get the bushing out. But why skip out on that one, might as well do them all. I cant say how hard it will be because i have not done the rack bushings but i just did the control arm bushing up front and that took some time. On the plus side the rack is really easy to get out on our 4runners.
To get it on the jack stands jack up the front and take off the wheels thenn set it on the jack stands. Use a piece of 2x4 on the top of the stands if you need a little more height.

I just did mine recently. It will make it easier moving the rack to get the bushings off and installed.
I too was a doubter, I tried to shortcut by not lifting the tires as outlined on DIY. Found out the that it was easier to just lift the tires than to muscle everything in place.

You do not remove the rack to do the bushings according to the diy threads ive read. All I want to know is there any reason I can not or should not do the rack bushings with the truck on the ground
