I personally disagree with the concept that you should buy a tire that suits 90% of your needs. Following that logic most of us shouldn't be driving a 4runner in the first place. I personally spend 90+% of my time highway driving, but the other 5-10% is muddy cottage roads or worse, however if I didn't have my Duratracs it would eliminate that 10% of my driving...
Don't think anybody is saying anything even close to that. Its all about compromise and even in your case there would be many better choices which would serve you very well on the hwy AND in the mud.
