help needed! oem brakeline 47322-35730 has anyone

replaced this.line? appears to run from passenger side in engine bay across to d's, down firewall to connection inside frame.rail under drivers seat. I'm not sure what you call the part it connects to in engine bay, ABS something? If I replace it or unthread it from the ABS do I need special tools to bleed? Extra precautions, still bleed as per normal procedures? In the thick of it [MENTION=88546]momen[/MENTION]t.

Also the other line that connects to it under drivers seat and runs to rear flex hose, does the fuel tank or cover plate required to be removed or should I just be able to slide it out over top without too much trouble?

Update: got line going to rear flex hose removed, install of new line will be another story.

Question in regards line going to abs still remains...specials tools precautions for bleed?

I have changed both those line in 1997 and 1998 4 runners. The one fro.the flex line to the union in the middle if the frame isnt too bad


The one from the abs to the front union isn't horrible. I unplugged the engine harness behind the glove box and pulled it into the engine bay. Then loosen the bolts holding it and took my time removing it .


I had to remove a few things in the engine bay. However I did this a year ago and I trying to remember.

I believe I put the line down through by the frame then worked it into place.

It did take a little time but I just used basic tools. A flare wrench and 10mm and 12mm sockets I think for the bracket bolts.

Thank you brillo!! Getting the line fished over spring and along fuel tanknwas a pia until I actually used some Pex hose and had in ten min.

New completely flushed lines seems to have made a big difference!
