Help with stupid question

So I’m sitting in the drive through this morning and this piece lands between my legs on the floor. For the life of me I can’t figure out where it goes. Can any one help?

And yes, I’m accepting the fact that this might be the dumbest question ever posted on T4R.org.

It looks like a peice from the steering wheel. See picture. Hopefully it’ll just snap back in.

Winner winner chicken dinner! From my angle looking in, never saw that. The plastic on the steering column is different then the wheel and lower dash.
