Any updates on problems with HID conversions on 4th generations? Still lasting? Losing light output etc? Any suggestions on new kits or new methods of installing it? Thanks.

I think I will go for it. So no need to readjust lights or mess with squirrel finders right? Just plug and play? Thanks for the input.
My suggestion would be do the plug and play, upgrading to HID. Drive around for a few days (well nights) and see what type of reaction you get from other on-coming drivers. I've had people in SUVs and trucks flash me, but most folks in cars don't even notice. I probably get flashed about 2-3% of the time, not enough IMO to be of a concern.
I agree. I would suggest installing the kit before making any modifications. A lot of our customers do not modify the squirrel spotters.

Which phillips kit would I need for an 08? 9006? Thanks.
H11 for lowbeams, 9006 for fogs.
Did you do a retro fit on your 4runner or did you use the stock projectors? Did you eliminate squirrel finders? Thanks.
fore-runner,
Here is a link to the kit you would need to get:
http://www.KBcarstuff.com/Xtreme_HID_4300k_Philips_Xenon_HID_Conversion_Kits_p/xt-4kp.htm
You would need to get item number XT-4K-H11p
