HID Install for 2006 4Ruunner

No problems with mine. Added fogs about a year ago. Both kits came from Xenon Depot.

It's plug and play. Depending on the aim from the factory, you might need to aim down as HIDs are a lot brighter and will cause other drivers to flash you. Modding (pushing) the squirrel finder (tab forward) will help clean up the cut off and eliminate some glare, not all of it.
My suggestion would be do the plug and play, upgrading to HID. Drive around for a few days (well nights) and see what type of reaction you get from other on-coming drivers. I've had people in SUVs and trucks flash me, but most folks in cars don't even notice. I probably get flashed about 2-3% of the time, not enough IMO to be of a concern.

Did you have to adjust the squirrel finders and reaim the headlights?
To be honest, I have noticed cadillac escalades and acura TL's factory HID's are frickin blinding! and they are FACTORY!

I agree. I would suggest installing the kit before making any modifications. A lot of our customers do not modify the squirrel spotters.

Did you do a retro fit on your 4runner or did you use the stock projectors? Did you eliminate squirrel finders? Thanks.

Stock projectors, left the squirrel finders alone. I don't get flashed often, and when I do, it's more from other SUVs/trucks than cars.

After reading through 4RunnerRon's write-up, I am left a bit confused.
I received my Xtreme HID Kit today and I noticed that I have not one (1) but two (2) Relay Harnesses that are included. When comparing the instructions provided with the kit to those provided by 4RunnerRon, there seems to be a difference in that unlike 4RunnerRon, the passenger side headlight connector will be used instead of sealed with electrical tape.
Has anyone else installed a kit recently that has two relays? And if so, am I correct?
