Tonight I just finished up the timing belt (UPS got it together and my parts came!) and fired up my 94 3.0. My idle seems high and is around 1000 rpm now. It used to be slightly higher than the 750 mark. Is it normal for the idle to change? I double checked about twenty times that my timing marks were perfect. The rig is running a little more sluggish than usual, but overall seems like its back to its old, slow self. Could that be attributed to the higher idle?
My coolant seems to be making a ton of noise at shutdown. Lots of gurgling, bubbling sounds that weren't there before. I'm guessing the system isn't burped still, but I ran it with heater on high, parked up on the curb and rad. cap off for about twenty minutes and it stopped pushing up air bubbles. I also have heat in the cab and the temp. gauge is reading normal. Any other tips to get it to quiet down?
